We decided on a holiday getaway not far from the Hudson Valley. We settled on Great Barrington because neither of us had visited there in years and we love the Berkshires. No, we do not ski, but we love good restaurants and shops and museums and especially charming inns. The Windflower has recently experienced a renaissance under new owners. It...

Just spent New Year's at the Windflower. The new owners, Michelle and Tom, are really amazing. The minute you walk in the place you can feel that you leave your stress outside. Sitting by the roaring fire is so calming and cozy, add to that the fresh made cookies and a cup of tea and it does not get any...

We stayed at the Windflower during Christmas week. What an incredibly relaxing experience. Michelle and Tom, the innkeepers, are accommodating in every way. The new owners have given the Windflower their personal touch and the place looks beautiful! The inn is very clean, cozy, and comfortable. You will feel right at home lounging on the couches near a beautiful fireplace....

Our family just spend a few fabulous nights at the Windflower Inn with our extended family. Michelle and Tom run a warm and inviting place for their guests. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas. All family members sampled (devoured) the home made, freshly baked, delicious cookies that are available in the comfortable common rooms. Our rooms were spacious yet cozy...

Recently, we stayed at the Windflower Inn for a family event held nearby. The new owners, Michelle and Tom, had just took over ownership of the inn a few weeks prior but their warmth and hospitality was already apparent. We stayed in Room 7 which had a queen bed, fireplace and fairly modern private bath. The room was very clean,...

I stayed a couple of days after a stressful and sad few months in my life. It was just the thing to refresh my body and soul. The inn is lovely, clean, comfortable -- public areas as well as bedrooms, and in a peaceful, beautiful setting in the Berkshires. The new owners, Tom and Michelle McCarthy outdid themselves in making...

My best friend of 51 years (college roommate) and I have enjoyed visiting the Great Barrington area for the past 35 years. It is something we look forward to with great anticipation. For the past 5 years we have been staying at the Windflower Inn and find it very relaxing, inviting and immaculate. We always enjoyed your conversations with Claudia,...

We stayed at the inn for three nights. Michelle and Tom could not have been more hospitable. They are new innkeepers which I thought was actually a plus. They are trying so hard (and succeeding) to accommodate everyone's needs. The room we had was very spacious and clean. They also added power strips so that there were plenty of places...

Thank you for the kind words. We are enjoying our new life as innkeepers! Cell service is definitely spotty in the Berkshires. We are working on getting a cell booster....fingers crossed!

It was our first visit to the Berkshires but our amazing hosts Michelle and Tom instantly made us feel at home. We fell in love with the warm coziness of the house (decorated with so much taste and attention to details!) and the gorgeous area (a paradise for both outdoor and cultural activities!), and we enjoyed an absolutely wonderful, unforgettable...

The new owners, Tom and Michelle, are delightful hosts! They treated me like family and always had a smile. They were able to answer any questions I had about the area too. The rooms reminded me of my home bedroom and were very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was some of the best French Toast I've ever had! The Windflower Inn...
