The room was a good size and well appointed but this was eclipsed by the stunning view from the balcony which every room on the upper level has. If you are at ground level you have a patio which we felt might be less private. The main house where a delicious breakfast is served also has the view. The staff...

My room had a wonderful view with 2 views of the ocean. I could watch the sunrise from bed through the large front window. There was also a sliding door with a view of the lighthouses. The room was clean. The reception area has a nice dining room and library.

This is a nice hotel with a gorgeous view. All rooms are direct ocean front, and all have a furnished balcony or patio, where you can sit out and relax while you watch the ocean. Like all of Gloucester, the coastline is rocky, not beachy, but the water is beautiful and only about 50 feet from your door. While the...

Most excellent stay. Breathtaking location, warm friendly staff, so much to do. Surrounding area loaded with history. A trip to Salem, Mass a must. Lots of arts and crafts, boat tours, delicious seafood, great walking paths. A very doable ride from North Jersey. Worth every penny.

We booked this last minute and everyone was wonderful. We got to the room easily and were in complete awe of our room. Quiet and relaxing getaway for an over night stop along our journey. The bed was super comfy as well!

Had a great stay in this incredibly scenic spot. Real New England feel Accommodations were good and the only reason I did not give it a higher rating is that the room could use some updating and the bathroom needs renovation It was clean and check-in was easy the breakfast was lovely and the views can not be beat would...

Very clean, friendly staff and great breakfast! Hotel is a bit pricey, but well worth spending the extra for the waterfront view and comfortable accommodations. Warm cookies and Starbucks coffee as sat at the outdoor fireplace was an added bonus.

So there’s no doubt, it's a great place. And the gals who run it are great too. But my only complaint/issue would be the following: We're private people. We stayed on the top floor of the Oceanfront House. And, while I can only imagine the myriad of reasons why they have decided not to do so, we would GREATLY PREFER...

All rooms look out first onto the large pool and then to the ocean across the street. Our room (two beds) was very nice. Bathroom was small. Breakfast tasty. We would return. Fairly expensive but competitive for area.

We are happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us! Looking out to the ocean when you wake up and when you go to sleep just makes your entire day more relaxing. Although some rooms are closer to the pool and firepit, we also have some that are farther away! Whenever booking your reservation, just ask if we...

We spent a weekend in the Gloucester region recently, and decided to base ourselves at the Bass Rocks. We were definitely happy that we did. The hotel is located right on the ocean, with private benches on the other side of the road for watching the waves. Check-in was simple and quick on a Friday evening. Our room was spacious,...
