The night we stayed here in July 2015 we just happen to be the only ones there. Our first impression was that its very cozy and charming. The location was quite, just of the main route into Gloucester. The room was amazing, had a spiral staircase leading to the crows nest and the room was filled with local art and... More

My husband and I and my 82 & 86 year old parents just spent two nights at the Inn. Wish we'd been able to stay longer. It was fabulous. The owners, Paul & Donald, are simply delightful. The house itself is just wonderful. My parents had the downstairs suite which is hidden behind a bookcase. Three beds, wonderful sitting room... More

We stayed at the Inn in October 2014 one night...which a lot of B&B's want longer stays so this was a nice option traveling through. The Inn is so cozy and yes there is mirrors and pictures throughout but honestly it is charming. We stayed in the suite which has the loft (sorry dont remember the name of the suite)... More

Booked this B&B based on previuos reviews and got just what we expected. The room indeed was quirky with lots of hidden treasures. I loved the animal print sheets and the childrens loft in our room. It definitely felt like you were in someones home not just an inn. Muffins were delivered each morning for a sweet treat. We had... More

This review is long overdue, I really enjoyed my stay last summer at Babsan court. While planning a trip to Boston, Salem and Gloucester without a car I needed a location that was very close to the St. Peter's fiesta and the trolley that stops pretty much right in front because they will pick you up if you are waiting... Had a great time here! See my room comments which I think are separate from this paragraph. The owners were happy to spend time talking in the morning and you may have to drag yourself away from the many entertaining stories. Right across the street from walkable shoreline and easy to walk into town and enjoy wharves, restaurants, historic houses,... More

As many reviewers point out, this house has a very interesting interior design, which is well coordinated in its details. The owner loves mirrors and hidden doors, and all other interior details are matched with great taste. Particularly charming are the exposed roof beams in the two upstairs suites (Cut Stevens and William Friend). These suites offer considerably more space... More

We discovered the elegant "Inn at Babson court" by chance when looking for somewhere to stay in Gloucester. Our room was large and had a great sea view, wonderfully decorated in a unique fashion, really enjoyed the stay. There were only two of us but there was also a mezzanine floor with 2 small beds which would be ideal for... More

Absolutely loved The Inn at Babson Court. Other viewers have said it well. Paul, the owner is a very interesting, pleasant host willing to help make your stay a great one. We as well as another viewer had the room on the ground floor (with the leopard sheets and monkey end tables). The bed was a tad on the hard... More

“If you can spend a little more the suite we had was great and if you have children there is a loft above it with a spiral staircase to the loft (I think it was called the Steven's suite??). The bed was very comfortable as well as the pillows. The room has a great view.”

“Any because each suite has been decorated extensively and is unique. Top floor has a crows nest with bed.”

“We got tours of all the suites. Each one is unique & highly decorated. The two upstairs suites face the road and water (though when trees are leafed out, hard to see water; don't remember if the lower suite does too) but we didn't have a problem with road noise even with open windows maybe in part bec we were using a fan; there is also A/C. Didn't hear the people next door at all except very briefly in the morning as they left. In the Cut Stevens suite young physically agile kids and their relaxed parents may love the loft. Very small coffee and bathroom areas. Bed was indeed firm, fine for us. Zebra sheets.”
