Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

So you sign out towels. I took 9 towels. Waited in a long line forever to return said towels. Now they charged me for them not being returned. I saw her fill out on the piece of paper we returned them. What a damn shame and a ripoff. Not to mention it was an absolute zoo everywhere. No parking spots and overall now an absolutely terrible experience. Kids got hurt too. Never again. Stay away.

Extra charges to my account with no reasonable explanation. The tv had inappropriate adult content playing on it when my children turned the tv on. Staff never reset the tv and couldn’t do it properly so it had the previous persons name on the tv during my stay and we had a hard time using it so we stopped trying. So we didn’t even have a proper working tv for the price we paid, ontop of extra charges to my account for things they couldn’t even explain. So watch the tv and the account if you stay here.

Over priced. Visited Great Wolf Lodge Fitchburg with my husband and our 3 and 16 year old kids for two nights, all of us ended up sick directly after. Everything there was over priced. Was way to packed for our little.one to enjoy. Was not worth the price we paid and won't be visiting again.

Terrible!!! Zero stars... Watch your credit card, they charge for meals you never ate! Upon arrival the mirror fell off the wall onto my 4 year old. After check out I was charged an addition $300 despite never have charged anything to the room. We ate at the Woodfire bar our arrival night for a total of $89, after check out they charged me a separate $140 for a meal there that same night!! Awful. I've been trying to resolve for a week...

Took our teen and preschooler to GWL for a 2 night, 3 day stay. Lobby was smaller than expected, but clean. We stayed in a regular double queen room with a pullout sofa for the kid. Did a quick bed check for hairs and buggies, everything looked fine. Bathroom was clean as well. There is a mini fridge, but no freezer. The ice machines hardly ever work, so if you're bringing frozen food to heat up in the microwave, bring a cooler with ice already in gallon storage bags and try and refill them as you go along. We were lucky and had a 2nd floor room, so we basically always used the stairs because the elevators are exceptionally slow. We did the buffet breakfast and it was worth it. Got a couple pizzas the second night because they are the cheapest dinner option and they were actually good. The only deeper pool was the wave pool which was fun. Our little one loved the kiddie pools and the teen loved the rides. Arcade was expensive but fun for the boys. You actually win at the claw games. We bought the refillable cups for fountain drinks because we read you cannot bring any other cups into the pool area and that it untrue. Except for glass, you can bring anything you want to drink or eat into the pool areas. Not just food and drink you buy there. The life guards were pretty attentive, blew their whistles constantly for insignificant infractions which got annoying. Everyone who works there that isn't in a restaurant or front desk is a teenager. Teenagers are slow and lazy, so they will stand around and chat instead of trying to move the line along, so just be aware. Go with the flow. Definitely 100% for kids, we lucked out and snuck in some bar time the first night when the little one knocked out and our oldest stayed in the room with him. Swimming all day really takes it out of you. There was a big snow storm our second day, and it was pretty neat watching the snow fall from a heated pool. Pick a week day when it's not as busy and less expensive. They also have day trip passes, which unfortunately let a lot more people in who clog up resources and make the place a bit dirtier than if it were for hotel guests only. We may go back.

This was our first time here, so everything was new and exciting to us. I would rate our stay a B+. The majority of our stay was fun, with one noticeable mishap. The good: -Awesome waterpark. My two kids (ages 13 and 6) were entertained for hours. I liked how there are two different rooms of waterpark. It makes it easier to watch kids in that one space. When we felt stalled, we switched rooms to keep things fun. -Hotel rooms. We got the Kid Cabin style room in the newer south end of the property. The room was clean, welcoming, and very spacious. -All the staff I interacted with were polite and helpful. -Personal pizza. That 7 inch pizza from Hungry As A Wolf was so cute. My kids have never seen a pizza that small. Yup, that's YOUR pizza, nobody else's. -Ropes course. I'm glad the ropes course had two different courses for different heights. My 6-year-old especially enjoyed the little kids rope course – I couldn't get her to leave! :) -Arcade. It had lots of games, some that I've never seen in other arcades. -There's a green hallway, near the middle of the resort, that is so peaceful and pretty. It gave me zen feelings every time I walked through it. The bad To summarize below paragraph, please have better hotel room security and signage. We did that thing where you enter the waterpark early at 1pm while the room isn't ready until 4pm. No big deal. What was a big deal: the room numbering system. When I got the text that my room number was ready, my 66-year-old mother and one kid decided to go to the room ahead of me. I gave my mother the correct room number “2036” (for example, not my actual room number). Within the same property, there is room 236 and room 2036. My mother mistakenly went to 236 in the north wing, found her key didn't work (obvi), so the housekeeper just randomly let her into someone else's room! Bad security! My mother knew immediately it was the wrong room, so she left, but had no idea there was a 2036 somewhere else. It was a confusing stressful 15 minutes trying to figure this out, with one kid crying. Then when we finally entered the correct south wing, none of the signage was helpful. Room 2000 to 2020 this way. Room 2050 to 2060 that way. Um, where is 2036? We finally had to ask a staff member where to go. Luckily after that odd check-in, we had a good remainder of our visit.

Number 1 thing - CHECK YOUR BILL before leaving. I had to drive back the next day because I was overcharged by $900+ (when I called, it was a 1-800 number, and they were clueless)! I spoke with Jen and Lacey at the front desk when I drove back to fix the issue. But 2 days later and I had to call back because there was another $500+ charge on my account. I have been told this will be rectified 1 day. Overall, the rooms and resort were clean and fine. If you or someone with you are handicapped (mobility, sensory issues, etc.), this is NOT the place for you. I brought my sister with Down syndrome, and there were limited things she could do due to mobility issues. For example, walking from one side of the resort to the other is far. No slides are handicap accessible. Other activities for accessible. Lines and waits for food were SO long. I would understand this IF I had not seen several places have staff hanging around while lines are long. Examples: 1. The ice cream store had 4 people working. 1 was making ice cream, 1 was working register, and 2 were hanging around, and there was a very long line. 2. Pizza's took 2+ hours to get, and again, staff hanging around The cabana was a waste for us. Here is why: 1. I was not aware at the time of booking where the cabanas were, but upon arriving, I explained that I was with my disabled sister and where our cabana was placed we were at one end of the water park, and the only activities she could because of her disability was on the far end of the other side of the park. Even though there was one cabana on the side we needed open and ones closer on the side we were on, they would not allow us to move. 2. The service was HORRIBLE. I texted the server, but she never came. They never brought the towels we requested. Never checked on us. Got rude text messages back. "Forgot" to put in food/drink order. It was NOT worth the $400. Other activities: 1. Magiquest - no explanation at all, so no idea what we were even doing or the goal 2. Ropes - Thank goodness for Ari, who helped other people in our party; otherwise, that would have been a disaster. 3. Rock finding - Again no explanation of what to do. 4. Activities in lobby are OK I guess. Love that they try and sell you during these activities. 5. People who pay to stay over night should be given some type of perk. The people on day trips have access to everything at the same times/location. Other Stuff 1. Elevators VERY slow 2. Dunkin app - a joke - they text saying its ready you go there and its not or some of it is not 3. Jacuzzi is always packed. You can not enjoy it. I can see the draw to this place for families but be aware of what the experience will be like. I have voiced my concerns (especially about billing) to 2 different managers and one said "we can give you a few day passes to the water park". I was like no thanks why would I come back after this and I just told you that my sister can not use 90% of the waterpark!

WARNING!!!!!!!2ND review. WORST STAY EVER. I booked this for grandkids I got sick and could not go. I called online paid everything on line. I was assured it would be no issues. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!! RUINED THE WHOLE STAY. THEY WOULD NOT LET KIDS IN UNTIL I REFFILLED OUT FORM AGAIN!! I HAD TO UPLOAD MY LICENSE AND CREDIT CARD. My grandchildren were crying hysterically. Who knows how to do this from your phone?????? Not many grandparents. The moral of this story is don't go unless you are going too. Their systems IS WRONG and they need to get a new one. I paid 672.00 to be treated like a crack head trying to get over on them.
