We stayed here 15 years ago and was sorry it took so long to return. The people and staff are wonderful and very friendly. The breakfast was terrific not to mention the dining room is right off the beach. Perfect place to relax. The rooms are very comfortable and very clean. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

Thank you for returning to By The Sea! We are dependent on having guests happy to revisit By The Sea! Breakfast or anytime on the Veranda is relaxing! We hope that you will return soon! Our Suites are open year round with cosy gas fireplaces and First Night in Chatham is always a winner! More

Thank you for staying with us while visiting with your sister on Cape Cod! We love having family get togethers here! The proximity to all the ocean sounds and views are inspirational. This morning we have a seal swimming about 30 ft. off our beach! Hope you'll join us again! More

Beautiful B&B on the beach. The room was very clean, well appointed and had all the amenities one would expect. Breakfast was lovely. Tom - the cook - was very friendly as were all the other ladies that worked along side of him. When my fiancee had a special request for breakfast, they were more than happy to accommodate. We... MY friend and I stayed in this place based on the glowing reviews --basically it is a total fraud and misrepresentation. We paid a hefty price for a a two star bed and breakfast. I will never believe these reviews anymore because of the disappointment. The beach is miniscule, the room is tiny and decrepit, the breakfast is mediocre. What... More

After reading all the glowing reviews I have to wonder what is so special about this tiny beach and tiny b and b. Looks like a house that was converted to a bed and breakfast. Our room was very tiny and the shower didn't work properly with low pressure. The breakfasts were mediocre as we had to beg for whole... More

This review is short, and to the point. There is only one bad thing about By the Sea: leaving. Wish we could stay there all year long - love it. A warm and welcoming get away, where we always find time to quietly relax. Whether we're sitting on the veranda, walking down the beach, or huddled by the fireplace, we... More

Couldn't have been treated better! So kind and helpful. Breakfasts were wonderful! It is right on the beach and was exceptionally clean and well cared for. Beds were good and they even had guest laundry.

We paid 200 dollars for a tiny room as big as a closet with uncomfortable beds. We read glowing reviews and were duped into prepaying for this lousy place. The breakfast had no homemade pastries as described. They had otis spokmeyer full of sugar. Their eggs were liquid eggs and not fresh.

We are sorry that you were not pleased. During the season close to our busiest ,the cost of our rooms plus tax and including a full breakfast , beach front and complimentary fruit and snacks are good value. We have a choice of rooms from expensive, oceanfront to smaller, with queen bed and twin at varying prices. Our hot breakfast... More

We loved our recent stay and were particularly impressed with the personalized service for our anniversary celebration. The owner and staff were very welcoming and friendly with recommendations for sights and eateries that were very helpful. The breakfasts were just wonderful with fresh fruit, baked goodies and an amazing entree each morning. Coffee, tea and cookies/cakes are available all day.... More

Stayed at this guest house in September 2016. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite. Very comfortable with full kitchen. We did have breakfast on 2 mornings in the breakfast room excellent value for money. It was too cold for us to swim but beach in front was always clean with chairs provided. Fantastic location on beach.
