The perfect spot for a mid-winter getaway. Breakfast and high tea were splendid, and the dining room was flooded with light, thanks to 3 walls of windows. Our room, the Hideaway Suite in the Captain's Cottage, was perfect for us -- though not for those who have trouble with stairs or mind ducking under sloping ceilings! The staff was friendly,...

We have stayed at The Captain's House Inn several times and it is always a wonderful stay. They go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. No matter what room you stay in you will find comfort and charm. The afternoon tea is lovely and the adorable girls that work at the inn are all English interns. The...

My husband and I visit during the winter at least once if not twice. We love it here! The inn is so inviting. The rooms are perfect! Our favorite is Wild Pigeon. It has a gas fireplace in a sunken sitting area with another couch in the bedroom area. The room is very large but cozy we love it! The...

What a lovely review. Thank you! We're so glad you enjoyed the personal touch we strive to offer. It's true - these days small businesses struggle to compete with larger corporations and in doing so, it's all about the bottom line. While the business end of our operation is, of course, important, we feel we wouldn't succeed if that was...

Back in the "before years", New England was the one place in the country where everyone flocked for their romantic getaway. Be it an inn, or a "bed and breakfast"... each location had a warm and inviting feel to it. Today, it is all about investors, and corporations following a "safe" business model, to maximize profits. When every inn is...

The Captain's House Inn was the perfect weekend getaway for us. The Inn is adorable and it's quaint New England style makes you feel right at home in Chatham. The staff are incredibly generous and kind and make you feel right at home. The breakfasts are delicious and change every day. The Inn is very close to down town Chatham...

We just returned from our weekend away at the Captains House Inn. We stayed in the Lydia Harding Suite for what we think was our 4th time and our 11th time overall at the Inn. We love this place and have treasured each time we have stayed there. The quality of what you experience for the cost is an exceptional...

We had great time and loved the room. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly. Breakfast was wonderful too, and when we were running late it was brought to our room after the staff called to ask if we were coming down. Great people.

Everything about our stay was perfect - without a doubt the most accommodating and thoughtful place we've ever stayed. They have literally thought of every little detail. The breakfast was amazing, room was so cute and cozy (Whirlwind Room), perfect for a January weekend. Can't say enough good things about it. We will definitely return in the future, and have...

A lovely place to celebrate. Took my boyfriend away for his birthday. He couldn't have been more pleased. The Inn was very nicely decorated and well maintained. We enjoyed the afternoon tea, breakfast and evening treats. Nicely located near center of town. A wonderful place to enjoy a little get away or celebration.

“We love Wild Pigeon. But we have checked out the others and they are all nice in their own way. We stayed in the Hideaway Suite too which was very unique as long as you can climb up steep stairs. Very cozy!”
