We spent a lovely day and evening at the Baird Tavern in Blandford, Massachusetts. The homestead dates back to the mid 18th Century and has a great historic feel yet is extremely comfortable. Great breakfast! I highly recommend the place.

I was on my way to Rhode Island from the midwest and discovered a little gem of a place, the Baird Tavern, near the Boston-Albany Turnpike and I-90. Wonderful ambiance, recollections of what it was like living in the 1760's. The Bed and Breakfast is tastefully decorated with period furnishings of that era. The hostess, Carolyn Taylor, has a welcoming...

Stayed with Carolyn for one night in Oct 2009 on our tour of New England. The farmhouse is beautiful and Carolyn could not be more welcoming........... I definately recommend the Blueberry pancakes for breakfast! Carolyn also recommended a lovely Ethiopian (?) restaurant in nearby Chester which was also fanatastic and definately worth a visit.

The Baird Tavern is a beautifully maintained historic home in rural Blandford, Massachusetts, just west of the Berkshires and east of Pioneer Valley. So many things are less than an hour away - Tanglewood, Jacob's Pillow, fun North Hampton, Amherst with the Emily Dickinson House, Shakespeare and Company, or the local Maple Corner Farm, the Appalachian Trail, antique shops, Noble...

The Baird Tavern is a destination in its own right, a delightfully airy garden spot for some rural rest and relaxation. Indoors, I saw plenty of proof that wooden surfaces can age gracefully when tended with care. I happen to like that. We were treated to comfortably presented delectable breakfasts, with birds stopping by just outside the window for their...

After a long day of driving from Toronto, we fetched up at the Baird Tavern, which proved a lovely respite. Caroline was gracious, the carefully tended garden was gorgeous, and the beds were truly great. A highlight: watching hummingbirds feeding just outside the kitchen window while we enjoyed pancakes and excellent coffee.

To escape the hustle and bustle, my wife and I stayed here for two nights at the end of April (2012). We were hiking the various state parks and state forests "Hidden Hills" and wanted a B&B away from town - Baird Tavern certainly fits that bill! The old colonial home, turned B&B, is nestled in the woods and is...

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at the Baird Tavern. Carolyn was extremely friendly, very accomodating of our dietary needs, and served delicious breakfasts. The garden is beautifully kept and, on our April visit, bursting with daffodils and songbirds. We loved the decor in this historic 1868 home, simply & tastefully furnished with period furniture. While the house is close...

My husband and I stayed 2 nights Oct 2010. What a wonderful place. It's like staying in a museum. Everything is authentic to the time of the house. And sooo much history! Being from Oregon where our homes don't date back that far, it was wonderful to experience. And I must say, Carolyn's blueberry pancakes are to die for. My...

If you are seeking a classic Western New England experience, look no further. Carolyn Taylor has painstakingly restored and furnished this 18th century Tavern to provide her guests a return to colonial times with the amenities of today that are necessary. From her warm greeting and pleaseant conversation over tea the afternoon we arrived to the sublime blueberry pancakes (she...
