We went to St. Michaels/Tilghman Island for a quick weekend away. There was a wedding in town that weekend so most hotels were booked or only accepting 2 night minimums. So we had only a few hotels to pick from. Chose the Tilghman Island Inn. It is on a very pretty property overlooking the water. Our rooms were very nice... More

This is a ghost hotel. Few employees and not even close to the same place we stayed at in 2009. The property is not well maintained and virtually abandoned. The Inn is still operational and if you look at the website a thriving business. We did not stay and found another hotel. Still beautiful view, just not the same place.

Have been visiting the Inn since 1995 and the charm, views, nature, location and overall peacefulness is a five star rating as is Diane and Janet. Diane and Janet could not have been better as the Innkeepers. The Inn is clean and neat however some work needs to be done. Some new Adirondack chairs, power washing and pool decking would... More

Stayed here for one night on Aug. 20. Our room and the view was absolutely perfect, though the property does suffer from a lack of TLC. The two lovely ladies who greeted us upon check-in couldn't have been more gracious and welcoming! The only problem we had was that when we woke up on Sunday morning, the electricity and water... Arrived on Saturday, August 6. The room was clean but the property was run down. The restaurant was closed and no one was available at the front desk during our stay. No room phone to contact management. Only I bath towel for 2 people. No bath soap! The room was $250 per night plus tax. Certainly not worth the money!!

It is all true: the high price, lack of maid service, splinters in the deck, very plain continental breakfast, grass-filled tennis court. And yet I loved it. We'd reserved non-water view rooms to save a little, but on the day of our arrival as we were driving up the coast, we received texts and phone calls from Alex the owner... More

The location was exactly what I was looking for, a quaint, quiet, relaxing inn by the water. It had beautiful views of the bay too! However, in my opinion, the inn was rather outdated. The bathroom attached to our room was nice, but the room, itself, was moldy smelling and you could hear everything the people above us did. The... More

The room was quaint and very clean. Right on the water. The breakfast was included - ample and something for everyone. The staff was amazing. Lucretia provided so much local flavor that she should start her own tour company. Angie, Diane, and Patty were over the top as well. This is a long overdue submission as our trip was in... More

CONS: Even for the off-season, the price ($150/night) was outrageous for what you get, and came with hidden fees not advertised. The rooms are cramped and unattractive, with tiled floors and claustrophobic low ceilings, multiple copies of the same cheap stock photos in frames that came from the trash, ugly mismatched furniture with missing parts. The dresser was sawed out... More
