I have always wanted to stay at Black Walnut Point Inn, ever since my father and I drove to the gates at the end of Tilghman Island many years ago. I was not disappointed - it is a charming sanctuary at the edge of the world. Down from Canada with my sister to visit our now elderly father, I was... More

Bob and Tracy are some of the best hosts you will meet anywhere in the world. The property is so beautiful, the monarch butterflies dancing around the mums. You loose track of time here, its so relaxing. One of the most peaceful nights of sleep I've had in a while.

Enjoyed this incredible bird sanctuary. Saw many eagles and various water birds. The Monarch butterflies abounded on and around the flower and fauna, before their migration. This place is a photographer's dream. Our weather was perfect for taking advantage of the hammocks and chairs facing the bay or river. We stayed in a cabin and enjoyed having a kitchen and... More

What drew me to this Inn initially were the water views in the photos on the website and it didn't disappoint! A delightful surprise were all the hammocks and Adirondack chairs on the property; one hammock in particular had a wonderfully secluded feel and provided a great place to relax and refresh. We chose to economize on this leg of... More

Incredible experience at Black Walnut. We had the most wonderful stay of our lives with our wedding and then a few days before just hanging out at the Inn. Bob and Tracy are just seamlessly professional, pleasant and happy to work with about everything. We were so lucky to have found this Inn and all the wonderful vendors of Tilghman... More

Beautiful grounds surrounded by sea. Not meticulously maintained and could use a little TLC but nice enough. A place to be outside, take in the view, and breath. If you like to get off the grid and the beaten path, this is the place for you. - The surroundings will be well worth the imperfections of the inn. If you... More

My wife & I stayed right after Labor Day for 2 nights. The location is nice & peaceful but needs a great deal of TLC. Nothing that can't be overcome but it needs serious maintenance throughout the property. While nature can't be controlled, we were severely eaten by a massive infestestation of flies on our first day there. They seemed... More

My first time to the east coast and we had a romantic and peaceful stay at the Black Walnut Point Inn. Highly recommend if you are looking for a romantic and quiet getaway with beautiful sunsets and grounds. Monarch butterflies abound and welcomed us outside our cabin that was fully equipped for a long stay. The owners were warm and... More

Emma: the 5 star rating is based on reviews--not ala an organization like Zagat. Did you look at the venue before you booked? Apparently not! The charm is the location, the grounds, nature and the welcoming inn owners, Tracey and Bob! If u want the Creme de la Creme stay at the Inn at Perry Cabin in St. Michael's, pay... More

The location is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. However, the mosquitos limit the joy of walking around. We stayed in one of the cabins which I found acceptable but by no means a five star accommodation. Like the other guests, I find the validity of 5 star rating questionable. The place was not kept very clean and the furnishings looked old... More
