I just loved this beautiful and restful bed and breakfast with an authors theme. Good food, great hostess. It has a cute café area for breakfast. Very secure. Nice touches. Interesting and well-informed hostess.

We were here a few years ago and decided to getaway again to the Eastern Shore. The place is even nicer--some beautiful remodeling and decorating, including artwork additions. Elizabeth was ever so kind and accommodating as always, informing us of all the new things in town. The Jane Austen had some lovely additions from her last trip to England and...

Some "girlfriends" and I stayed here for our 50th birthday celebration, and could not have been better situated. We took up the entire inn and the owners were very accommodating to our needs, working with us on the sleeping arrangements and was a good value for our needs. The inn is very well appointed as to furnishings and atmosphere; we...

This may be a good place to stay on weekends, but I don't recommend it during the week. When we arrived we knocked on the door and rang the bell for several minutes but there was no answer. I finally pulled out my cell phone and called the number we had and discovered that the owner was in the house...

Sorry we didn't get to the door in time and you had to wait several minutes (your wife said it had only been about two or three minutes when I came over and apologized for the wait)... as I mentioned when you called, I had just hung up the phone from calling you to let you know I was next...

Very sweet bed and breakfast Elizabeth is a great host and will answer any questions you have. Love the book theme the place has! We stayed in the Jane Austen room and was very happy. The bathroom is gorgeous!

The owners of Alexander House have created a beautiful environment with clever touches. The house and gardens are lovely. The detail involved in creating each space must have taken quite some time. It's a nice place to be, good food, and little touches—music playing in the evenings in the café, pastries, tea, water, fruit, etc. There was sherry waiting for...

My husband and I had a relaxing and pleasant weekend at Alexander's Booklover's Bed & Breakfast in Princess Anne, MD. It was perfect to get away from the TV and choose one of the many books all around this beautiful 1885 Victorian house. Breakfast was delicious, and snacks, drinks are always available too. It is a good location for many...

The host was super nice and the b&b was beautiful. Alexander House has a library where you can borrow books to read at any hour of the night. Tea and pastries are always available, and you get a great fresh cooked breakfast on weekends. Overall a very pleasurable experience.

My husband and I spent an evening at the B&B for our First anniversary and we had such a WONDERFUL time. Elizabeth and her husband were so friendly and inviting. I really love that it is a “shoe free” B&B. Not only does help to keep the house clean and allergy free, but it makes the whole experience that much...
