With a name like Scotland Island Lodge our expectations were of a rather large sprawling lodge with a large communal sitting room and extensive verandahs all round the building. Not so, this is a house converted and extended to allow 2 to 3 couples to stay. The wooden floors made it quite noisy and the only place we could congregate was... More

A special place to visit for a relaxing break in a natural bush setting, accessed via a small ferry from the 'mainland' or water taxi. Comfortable accommodation and an excellent breakfast. Breakfast is served on a covered terrace with views over the water and visiting tame Kookaburras and Parakeets. We were fortunate to be the only guests during our stay.... More

My sister and I booked the Clareville Suite twin room. When we arrived, Rosemary told us for an extra fee, we could have a room each! We had exclusive access to the lounge, which was great for chilling out in - tea/coffe/ water, homemade shortbread, movies, games etc Breakfasts on the deck where delightful - highly recommend the cheesy scrambled... Overall it is a lovely B&B. A pretty island and a lovely relaxing weekend away. Went in summer, so the mozzies were bad at dusk. Just thinking I should have brought a mozzie plugin zapper, when I opened the drawer and found a packet. Owners thought of everything. Lovely comfortable bedroom with everything you could need. Good shower. Fantastic nights... More

“There are 3 different type of rooms, better to ask Rosemary which one is available. Next time I probably will select the room with private spa, just to try. However our room had a lovely private lounge with plenty of books, free movies etc (ideal for winter). Will try Yoga next time.”
