The room is cheap enough to warrant the expectation of a room in need of renovation. If you've read all of the reviews you expect this. The problem is the carpets are wet and the rooms smell like mold and mildew. The people were nice and the room was clean, but I can't breathe mold. My wife was sucking on...

We stayed at Seabonay last year and loved the retro vibe. It is a throwback hotel nothing super fancy, but nothing too outdated either. The outside is weatrhered but that's part of the charm. Rigt down to the big old retro Seabnay sign on the roof, it si so cool ! Very comfy clean rooms, updated carpets, bathroom fixtures, TV's,...

We went to O.C. for bikeweek and there was absolutely no housekeeping service for 3 days. I had to go ask for towels and when I was taken to the linen room there was a mouse running across the ledge where the towels are stored. I went to the office twice and on the second visit the guy told me...

We just came back from a few days at the Seabonay. I was a little leery based on some of the reviews, but there were so many positive reviews, that we decided to try it. It was pretty much as I expected, which is a good thing! The location is great. It's one short block off the north end of...

My boyfriend and 2 friends and I stayed here for 5 nights. I was a little worried from some of the other reviews but once we got there the staff was very nice and even let us check in early since our room was ready. Once we got up to our room we were all very pleased! The room was...

Another enjoyable week at the Seabonay. Yes, still shabby on the outside, it is an older motel, but hey, the price is right. I happened to stay on the 3rd floor ocean front and not only was the view beautiful. We had new carpet ( you probably can find my previous review) Room is nothing fancy but very clean. We...

For the price I paid for peak season, this motel fit the bill. If people want top quality don't go here. I am all about the location and price. My room is for sleep only, so I don't need anything fancy. The staff were all very pleasant. My room was exceptionally clean and our housekeeper was there daily to see...

Do not stay here unless you're okay with sleeping in filth, mold, stains and everything short of bed bugs. We checked in today and what I noticed first was the rude staff. That alone put a bad taste in my mouth. She was not friendly and hated answering questions like, "where are we allowed to park?" Not okay in my...

And it was safe. 28th street - 1 block from the end of the boardwalk. We could ride our bikes on the boardwalk in the mornings so this was a plus but it was HOT. The rooms: mattresses were old and made my back hurt the whole week. Everything else was great. New flat screen TVs but you don't go...
