If you are wanting to experience the Best of Easton, add the John S. McDaniel House to your vacation plans. My daughter and I have just returned from a week at this incredible Victorian Bed and Breakfast. Early morning coffee led into an elegant breakfast at our chosen times. Snacks and a library of videos were available for those afternoon...

This was our second return visit to the John S. McDaniel House in Easton, Maryland. For anyone who longs for a gracious host and hostess with an old-world charm, gourmet food, yet modern amenities, I can't say enough about the McDaniel House. From the moment we arrived, Mary Lou and Fran, the innkeepers, were delightful. We arrived in time for...

This is our second stay at the inn, and we much enjoyed both times (April 2013 and April 2011). Mary Lou is an excellent host and cook, and her husband helped with directions (printed out for us) for the next day's trip to Williamsburg. They made us feel very welcome without hovering. The restaurant recommendation was also top notch -Bannings...

What a great find. Mary Lou was an exceptional host. Our room was bright, sunny and huge and had a king size bed and a fireplace. The bathroom was very nice - even had a towel warming rack. The breakfast on Sunday morning was very good and included home made bread. We will definitely be back.

Enjoyed a great visit while on a business trip. MaryLou the owner was friendly, helpful and had a great sense of humor. My room was beautiful with a king bed, fireplace, and fabulous bathroom. The bathroom had a claw foot tub that looked old but was really new, lots of hot water and great water pressure, hair dryer etc. Room...

My husband and I were given a gift certificate to stay at the John S. McDaniel B&B which seemed a bit strange since we live about 7 miles from Easton. However, we were determined to use it and did recently for my birthday and had a wonderful time. Friends joined us for some wine and nibbles before going to a...

We were here for just a short time for a wedding, but such a great find! The house is beautiful, clean and very well maintained. The hostess was very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast was absolutely delicious. Our room was amazing. It was rather large, very clean and the bed was huge and incredibly comfortable. Definitely slept well the two nights...

This was a return trip for us to the McDaniel House. We love to visit the Eastern Shore to see our daughter, enjoy oysters at Harrison's on Tilghman's Island, and tour the shops on St. Michael's and in Easton. We had stayed at the J.S. McDaniel House two years ago but stayed at another B&B last year. The McDaniel House...

This B&B was absolutely perfect in my book. The room, and the bed in particular, was sink-into-oblivion loveliness. Owners MaryLou and Fran were available when needed and the breakfasts that were served were delicious too. There were some nice free of charge extras such as a fridge full of cold drinks and snacks for guests. The price was amazingly reasonable...

The cost of my beautifully furnished, comfortable and quiet room in this lovely B&B was - surprise: less than the Econo-Lodge! It would have been worth the money at twice the price! Excellent food, convenient walk to downtown. Highly recommended.

“All the rooms look nice and offer en suite bathrooms and privacy, but for sure the Rev Henry Lay Room (#3) has a very comfortable bed, which can be hard to come by when traveling. Haven't stayed in any other room at the inn.”

“We have only stayed in the Augusta Tilghman room. It was very cool during a hot week. We do not have knowledge of other rooms. There is neither a swimming pool nor a fitness room on the property, but the location is within walking distance of restaurants, art galleries, and shopping. The sidewalks are excellent. Just bring walking shoes. If you must swim, just ask Mary Lou. She was a swimmer, and I am sure she knows where to find a swimming pool.”
