In the past, we have not usually been big fans of B&Bs, but Mary Lou has changed our perception of B&Bs. The John S. McDaniel House is a wonderful house and Mary Lou is the perfect hostess. We were staying there because I was taking an art workshop at the Easton Studio which is right next door, so the location...

We had a couple weekend there. The hostess was fantastic and she went out of her way to cook us special vegan meals for breakfast each morning. The accommodations are fantastic. In our opinion, it's probably among the best you're going to find in the area for the price value. It is conveniently located to all of the key spots...

First time staying here - won't be our last. Mary Lou runs a very nice B&B conveniently situated close to everything in Easton. Our room was comfy, the water was hot and plentiful, and the breakfasts are superb. We stayed over on a Friday and Saturday night. It was very relaxing - the house is in excellent shape - and...

My husband and I stayed at the John S McDaniel house for a weekend. The house was very clean and the in keeper was extremely friendly. They made everyone feel like a welcomed guest. The breakfast every morning was amazing, some of the best breakfast I have ever enjoyed. We wil most definitely be back again for another visit.

My wife and I stayed here for a long vacation, and are so glad we did. The hotels in Easton are across the highway and a good distance from downtown Easton, so you would have to drive each time you wanted to go into the city. This B&B is right in the middle of downtown, and you can walk to...

My husband and I have stayed in many bed and breakfast inns, and this is absolutely one of our favorites! We recently discovered the quaint town of Easton, Maryland and made last minute plans a couple weeks ago to visit the town and stay overnight. I had some trouble in my search as most places were booked, but I was...

I recently was in Easton for a 3-day workshop and stayed at a B&B a few steps down the street from the JS McDaniel House. My friend and several other participants in the workshop were staying at the JS McDaniel House and the innkeeper, Mary Lou, graciously invited me to join the group for breakfast every morning during my stay....

We spent two two lovely nights at this B&B. Unfortunately it rained most of the time but Mary Lou, the innkeeper, helped us turn the raindrops into fun drops. The house is a restored, spotless Victorian, the breakfasts were excellent, the gardens beautiful and this visit, compliments of a PBS drawing and Mary Lou's generosity, was a wonderful experience on...

We stay with MaryLou every year for IM Eagleman and most recently for IM Maryland. It feels like we are coming home! Comfortable, bright and immaculately clean rooms. Wonderful breakfasts and if we are racing she packs us a brunch to take and enjoy after our race! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in the area.

Don't mind the short walk to Harrison or Washington St. Nicely maintained Victorian with great beds and, in the one we had, a champagne bubble bath and a separate stall shower in a huge bathroom. Lovely gardens. Mary Lou is a great hostess and a wonderful breakfast cook who does gluten free and veggie if you want. Great selection of...

“All the rooms look nice and offer en suite bathrooms and privacy, but for sure the Rev Henry Lay Room (#3) has a very comfortable bed, which can be hard to come by when traveling. Haven't stayed in any other room at the inn.”

“We have only stayed in the Augusta Tilghman room. It was very cool during a hot week. We do not have knowledge of other rooms. There is neither a swimming pool nor a fitness room on the property, but the location is within walking distance of restaurants, art galleries, and shopping. The sidewalks are excellent. Just bring walking shoes. If you must swim, just ask Mary Lou. She was a swimmer, and I am sure she knows where to find a swimming pool.”
