My wife and I spent our 37th anniversary at the Bruce House this past week and the entire experience was outstanding! The room we stayed was on the 3rd floor ("Monk's room) and was very charming with an incredibly comfortable bed. Pam, the owner was very gracious and an exceptional chef as our breakfasts were wonderful. We visited many of...

The Bruce House Inn is a wonderful alternative to a hotel. The house is beautiful. The rooms are finely decorated. The innkeeper, Pam, is a delight. The beds are very comfortable and the breakfasts are delicious. The inn is located high on a hill within walking distance to downtown. When in Cumberland, give Pam a call. You will not be...

Lovely old house with an interesting history. Pam the owner was gracious and solicitous and cooked a fantastic breakfast, to get us on our way for the first day of our four-day bike trek. Room was very clean and comfortable. I give it 4 stars.

This place was absolutely wonderful. We were riding the GAP and expected to arrive early. Towner arranged for us to get into our room and store our bikes at mid-day. The house is cool everywhere inside - a relief on a 90+ degree day. There is a good wifi signal and a computer for use by guests. There were afternoon...

Up to the 3rd floor (two big flights of stairs, not for those with bad knees) and surrounded by windows, we slept soundly in the Monk's room, a quiet get-away. The separate AC unit made our stay very comfortable. As it's under the eaves, be careful near the walls where headspace is limited (6'1" husband was at risk, and had...

The Bruce House Inn was a luxurious stop-over midway between Georgetown and PGH - Pam was out of town - but her staff were attentive and helpful in settling us in. There were 8 of us and we took up most of the inn (with the exception of the Monk's Room). Everyone had a brilliant night's sleep. Pam was back...

Everything at this B&B was immaculate. We stayed in a guest room on the first floor, which was warm and inviting. Comfy bed, nice linens, pretty bathroom. The Innkeeper made us feel right at home. Breakfast the next morning was outstanding with a western style omelet, muffin, fruit and yogurt, served in a lovely dining room. The historic downtown area...

We were back in-town for a business meeting, and decided on staying at the Bruce House again. A good choice for comfort, helpful restaurant advice, lovely room, wonderful wine, cheese and crackers upon our arrival, and a great breakfast in the morning, prepared by Pam! This time we stayed in the new room, on the first floor--great if you don't...

My wife and I stayed in the Columbia Bruce suite on the ground floor. This room is off the lobby and next to the dining room. It was clean and quiet. This is the newest suite in the inn. The bathroom has a large tiled shower with a rainfall shower head. The bed was comfortably firm and the room was...

We were two couples cycling from Pittsburgh to D.C. Pam was there to greet us upon arrival and provided a safe/secure place for us to store/lock our bikes. Since we already had and early dinner in town, and were not planning to go out again that evening, Pam provided coffee, tea, wine, cheese and crackers, for us to nibble on...
