I stayed here last week and it was a truly wonderful experience. Everybody here is kind, genuine and really is interested in you, as guest, having a lovely stay. The room was sumptuous, the bed cosy and the bathroom blew me away. On top of this, breakfast was brilliant. The perfect classy English pub b&b experience. Try it. You'll love...

We stayed for just one night and had a really wonderful time. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful, in a genuine way. The food was good and tasty. Our room was interesting, comfortable and very clean. Good wifi connection! On top of all this, the pub is in the centre of a beautiful village with great walks...

We visited The Stag and Huntsman after a long walk in the beautiful hills that surround this small village. We were greeted with a warm welcome and water for the dog. They have a nice walled garden and we made the most of the spring sunshine there. After leaving my boots at the door we moved inside. We found the...

Stopped here by chance as were visiting nearby. Lovely pub in a small village with a very nice menu. While some of the old pub favorites were available, e.g. sausage and mash, there were many interesting dishes not generally available in pubs. Prices were reasonable and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The same menu is available for...

Came here for an afternoon business meeting a few days ago, I looked online, and wifi was advertised, however, the connection and speed was embarrassingly slow if any. Because of the lovely location, there is also a lack of mobile coverage. Needless to say, my meeting was cut short, and we went somewhere else (nearby)

Visited as a family of four during half term. Service really was excellent, relaxed friendly and attentive. Portions were generous and coffee excellent. Great food and sensibly priced. Enjoyed a walk around the beautiful village afterwards.

We booked to stay after being given a gift of a tour of the local winery. We chose to stay here as it was reasonably close as the winery B&B was full. Before the stay I was emailed to see if we wanted to book a table for the evening (as it was Valentine's Day) and I mentioned we would...

I understand this place has just changed hands... Didn't go there before but I have to say I'm very impressed with what I just experienced. The interior is a bit weird but that'll change I'm sure. Nice local clientele and very friendly helpful smiley staff. Some lovely dogs around as well. Little jam jars of the ales so you can...

Dear simonb503, Thank you for your very generous review of your dinner. We are all so please that your party enjoyed themselves. The fact that you have picked up on many small details (Beetroot Sorbet, Kilner Jars of our Real Beer on display, Gin Cured Salmon), and that these contributed to your overall experience, is testament to the hard work...
