We stayed here for one night, having decided to make a taxi-trip to Heathrow into a short break. The Inn itself was cosy and welcoming, with a good selection of very nice meals available. Our room was quiet, nicely furnished and comfortable. Our host was...More

Sort 5 mile stroll with the family before a pub lunch and very pleased with the end result. Good menu, nice specials board & good deserts. Will. Certainly be going back at some point in the near future.

Dear Sir/Madam, Many thanks for your comments on Trip Advisor. As local regulars it is with concern that I hear of your experiences at the Cherry Tree. We are a Brakspears pub therefore our beer supply, offer, and deliveries all derive from them. We always stock their ‘best’ bitter and vary the other pump. The seasonal ales are very popular but somewhat erratic in supply, so we stuck with Ringwood which is proving popular until we get our 3rd pump put in which will allow a much better offer across the board. However, in reference to your comments about running out, I’m not aware of ever running out of both lines, ever! We stock at least 3 types of gin, Gordons, Bombay and Hendricks, so if we have ever run out of one we always have at least 2 others to offer. We are now stocking English Chase Gin to broaden the offer. Our wine list has 4 red wines by the glass and 12/14 red wines to offer in total, so not having a good red on offer would be unlikely. There was a very small cross over when we changed our list 2 months ago, so if there was a bit of disruption i can only apologise but i hope you made the best of some great bin end deals! Our draft Thatchers was a problem over a few weeks when it was on and off, which was a technical issue and very frustrating so apologies once again. However, we stock Bulmers, Rekordling, Addlestones Cloudy and Aspalls ciders by the bottle to hopefully fulfill the cider drinkers. If we ran out of Guiness it may be that we struggled to maintain a consistent offer when we swapped over from Brakspear Black, back to Guinness, due to lack of interest in the Brakspears brand; this was some months ago. Your comments are really appreciated and taken on board but we try our very best to maintain a good, interesting offer across the board and running out would not ever be the scenario that both parties would enjoy! Please drop me a line as I don't believe we've spoken before and i would love to get your comments on a new ale and perhaps sample a few gins!! Many thanks, Mr Douglas Green Landlord Hi, Iloveagoodfoodpub. What would you like to know about this accommodation?

Dear Customer, We are sorry to hear your experience was not as you had liked but even more so that we hear about it via Trip Advisor when it would have been so easy to just talk to us on the day. Our staff, are friendly, open and giving, so would have happily and deftly dealt with any issues you raised. We have spoken to the team members involved in your visit, who remember you very clearly, as they do all customers. They were upset to read your comments. Sadly they said that at no time did you express any concern or unhappiness that is conveyed in your review and only having read back on the kitchen receipts, see there was an omittance of the tomato sauce on the pasta but this would have been sorted out immediately had you said something at the time. With regards to your bill. All our prices on our menus are VAT included. We do show a VAT breakdown on the final bill. At no stage was extra VAT added to your final bill. Therefore, your figures in your review are inflated and incorrect . Our menus are very competitively priced in the area and are by no means expensive or a rip off. We are sorry not to have met your expectations on the day and don’t always get it right but rest assured, your comments have been noted and will assist our customer service going forward.
