The house and all the antiques in it provide a wonderful glimpse into historic Kent County MD. The owner/operators are wonderful hosts. They have done a great job making guests feel at home. Bedrooms are wonderfully furnished. Common rooms have heirlooms but aren't stuffy. Breakfasts are hearty and tasty.

At the end of March, we visited Chestertown for our daughter's 2-day high school regatta. We decided to make it a family trip and booked rooms at the Inn, about a 20-minute drive away from the Washington College sailing facility. Tracy and Jim greeted and treated us like old friends. The Inn was lovely and comfortable. Our hosts organized the...

I drove up with a friend to hunt waterfowl in January. Tracy and Jim made me feel right at home the minute I walked thru the door. My room was very large and very comfortable. The Great Hall, Parlor and Study were rich with artifacts and furniture. Enjoyed unwinding from hunting long chilly days by hanging out in the Kitchen...

My wife and I spent a night there to get away for the weekend. Jim and Tracy were great hosts and made us feel welcome from the time we arrived. The breakfast was wonderful and we will be back again. Great location between Rock Hall and Chestertown.

We stayed in the Stone's Throw cottage which was the perfect place for us. We were visiting Tolchester Marina and needed space to sleep - Stone's Throw was that and so much more. The space is wonderfully decorated and has everything you need: bed, bath, kitchen, dining room, and living room. Just perfect.

We just came back from our 4th Memorial Day weekend at the Inn with a group of 8 adults and 7 kids. Every year gets better and better. With its saturated, green, lush, Maryland landscape, bordered by ancient trees and a neighboring farm, grab your book and drink and sit in one of the adirondack chairs by the pond. I...

I planned a surprise engagement with my girlfriend of ten years, and, when I decided to share my plans with Tracy (the co-proprietor), she said she was "honored" that I chose her Inn to execute my plan. Tracy helped me plan the surprise, and she prepared spectacular meals tailor-made for my (now) fiance's tastes. The property was perfectly groomed, and...

We've been to the Inn a few times as we only live 1 1/2 hours away. This past visit we went to explore the War of 1812. The Inn has artifacts that were found right on the grounds. They have been very involved with adding depth to history from 200 years ago! And, as always, the rooms a beautiful, spacious...
