This was just exactly what I needed! Of course I had read the Boonsboro trilogy, so I was so excited to have found out that Inn BoonsBoro was real! My husband and I stayed here Labor Day weekend to celebrate our 18th anniversary. We had a nice drive down from Michigan, which really wasn't too bad. We stayed in the...

We had a girl's weekend at Inn Boonsboro and it was a wonderful experience! The rooms were incredible and the individualized scents for each room were lovely. My friend and I stayed in the Eve and Roarke room and have nothing but good things to say about it. The bed was very comfortable and as strange as it sounds the...

We picked this establishment due to the close proximity to Harpers Ferry and Antietam Battlefield and the wonderful reviews it received. We booked a two night stay and upon arrival everything was perfect. The room was beautiful, food terrific, amenities fantastic. We had a great time visiting the battlefield and Harpers Ferry. The problem? Upon arriving home I received the...

As a small property we have to keep close inventory on our guest robes. Each room is provided two robes, along with cards announcing the robes are on sale in our gift shop and outlining the $150 charge if a guest simply takes it home. Our email is the standard reminder we send after exhausting all on-site options when robes...

Spent two of the hottest days of the summer to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We stayed in the Jane and Rochester Room. It was spacious, clean and comfortable. The cooper tub, and spacious shower were perfect ways to cool off after exploring nearby Harper' Ferry, and Antietam. I do wish there was better lighting in the bathroom. With the blinds...

My wife and I wanted a getaway weekend, wrapped around doing some bicycling and hiking. I'd seen the Inn Boonsboro while coming back from doing some hiking at Antietam and it looked like an interesting place - right on the small Main St. in Boonsboro, in the heart of Civil War battlefield land. The backstory is that a romance writer,...

Don't judge a book by it's cover! Novelist Nora Roberts/J.D. Robb restored this lovely building in Boonsboro, MD near Antietam Battlefield. The exterior retains much of the historical character and charm. The rooms are stunning. Each room has a "theme" based on a novel (i.e., The Thin Man has a 1930's design). However everything is sparkling and new. The staff...

We stayed at the inn in 2012 for our Honeymoon and have been dying to get back ever since. We decided to take advantage of the holiday weekend and booked the Penthouse. Karen, thankfully, sent out an email a few days before our trip warning that some things would be closed on Saturday for the holiday. This allowed us to...

My wife being an avid reader of J. D. Robb who is Nora Roberts, has had this trip on our bucket list for some time now. Nora Roberts owns the inn. Everything is just as described in her trilogy about the inn. Everything is clean and very well kept. The inn keepers are very kind and helpful. The cost is...

This is my second visit to Inn Boonsboro. First, the staff is amazing and attentive. Karen and Penny have made us feel at home. The rooms are so beautiful, one nicer than the other. We love the library and the lounge. Breakfast is amazing. Wine and cheese is the icing on the cake. Planning on making this a yearly trip.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
With the warmth and welcome of a bed and breakfast combined with the luxury of a boutique hotel, Inn BoonsBoro offers you an unforgettable experience. Housed in the first stone building constructed in the historic town of Boonsboro, the inn was updated in 2008 with a three-million dollar remodel and renovation. Throughout this extensive renovation, we have honored the dignity and charm of this historic site while designing a small hotel to meet the most discerning guests' expectations. Our guests can choose from among eight rooms, including two suites and a ground-floor ADA compliant guest room. With the exception of The Penthouse, all our rooms have been inspired by literary romantic couples. ... more   less
