The Villager was exactly what I was hoping to get. The room was huge, had a pretty sweet kitchenette, clean and just a short walk to the beach and extremely short drive to all of the York amenities (including the Nuble Lighthouse and Fun-o-rama).

So, paid 265 for a two bed room. Terrible. No water in the bathroom sink. Only 2 towels in the room. Informed the manager. She told that she would send more towels… never.. Hot summer days. With 2 little kids. Swimming pool closed…. Terrible , please stay away… No internet…

We stayed at this hotel for one night because it was the only one available on Columbus Day Weekend. We had to go be at swim meet at 6:30am on Sunday morning so we stayed Sat. night. I know now why they say you get what you pay for. I wasn't expecting much, but the other reviews said it was...

We have stayed here for several years. It is not fancy, but is clean and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms have the usual amenities and it is a short walk to the beaches or downtown York Beach.Parking is free, and the rates are more than reasonable. We have never been disappointed .

The hotel was at best what I had expected. Rooms were okay. My problem was them trying to get me to pay $20 for parking for leaving my car at the property for a few hours after check out time. The property wasn't even 25% occupied, and I had just spent $800 for a four night stay. Seemed unbelievable that...

Let me start by saying nowhere on their webpage do they claim to be a 5 star resort. What they do say is they are a clean, convenient, friendly place to go if you want to be within a 10 minute walking distance to everything. Which they definately are! This is a place you'd stop into after driving for many...

I'm shocked at all the good reviews. My family often goes to York and The Villager is something of a joke to us because it is so outdated and almost run down looking. We used to stay there continuously when I was younger and then not again until a couple years ago. It was creepy! It gave a "Vacancy" vibe,...

This is a great place stay! The room was very spacious and VERY clean (probably the cleanest room that I have ever stayed in). The staff are very friendly and gave many suggestions and tips on where to go and where to eat. The location is perfect. It's within walking distance to both of the beaches, the amusement park and...

Location allows for easy access to both Short Sands beach and Long Sands Beach. Not all rooms are air conditioned. Those that are not air conditioned have ceiling fans. Play area for children but swing set is only equipped with a slide. Fenced in-ground pool is a refreshing amenity after a long day at the beach but like the rest...
