Stayed here for a long weekend to visit the Christmas lights show in Booth Bay. Nice, old bed/breakfast that is quite a bit out of the way and secluded. Rooms are very comfortable and the place definitely has old world charm. The inn keeper, Liz, was truly outstanding... couldn't ask for a more personable and enjoyable host. Had dinner there...

I chose the Squire Tarbox Inn because it was advertised as out of the way. It was my girlfriend's Birthday weekend and I wanted quiet and relaxing. The fact that they had their own restaurant was a real plus, especially described as gourmet chef attended. We arrived at the Inn and were greeted by a young lady, Liz, who was...

This is a quiet and rustic place to stay but a little off the beaten path. Your only electronic connection is an iffy wifi setup. The food is excellent and the staff is friendly. We had dinner there and the chef came out and talked with us which was very nice. All and all, not a bad choice.

We were going to a wedding in Boothbay Harbor and couldn't find anything close that was affordable until we found this heaven. From the moment the chickens met us in the parking lot, we knew we made the right decision. The inn is owned by Roni and Mario Depietro, world travelers that have decorated the eleven guest rooms, each with...

This rustic historical bed and breakfast was fabulous. Chickens roaming in the yard, two lovely sweet dogs come out to say hello, and the land is just gorgeous. It's off the beaten path by 10 minutes but so well worth it. The owners are just lovely and make you feel like the house is your house. Very clean and comfortable!...

We stayed one night at the Squire Tarbox Inn, which is the perfect place to relax and recharge. Had a charming, large room, great bed with just the perfect pillows! Several rooms to lounge and meet other guests. Monday night Brick Oven Pizza night, with THE BEST PIZZA. Locals and guests mingle among free roaming chickens and exchange tips for...

If you are ready for a Rustic experience, the Squire Tarbox Inn is for you. Located on Westport Island on the Mid Coast of Maine, the Inn dates back to the 1700’s and is listed on the National Historic Registry. The accommodations run from small and cozy to large and comfortable with 11 rooms total. We found that the shower...

Sorry to hear that you were not so happy with your stay. We have been told countless of times that our breakfasts are amazing. Fresh eggs from our chickens made to order any way you want them is normally more than satisfactory and are raved about. We do serve blueberries in the evening on a few of our desserts and...

We enjoyed our recent stay at the Squire Tar Box Inn. We stayed one night and had breakfast at the Inn. This is a place for people, like us, who enjoy places that are NOT cookie cutter types. Our room was large but we were not given a key. We could lock it from the inside but not when we...

My husband and I spent the weekend at this lovely inn so that we could explore the coastline of lower Maine. We had a great room with separate entrance and a little deck for relaxing evenings. Breakfasts were simple yet perfect and I especially loved the homemade yogurt. The property is simply gorgeous with the historic inn itself, gardens, herbs,...

Hi Denise, We were thrilled with your great review, thanks you and happy you enjoyed your time here with us. We are just puzzled that even though the review is so good that you only gave us 2 circles which normally implies a terrible and very negative review. Was that intentional and if so can you maybe explain the problem....

The Inn is large and very well maintained. Beds are comfortable and rooms are full of antiques. Free breakfast in the morning is delicious and will be made to your order. Evening dining by retired Executive Chef is elegant and outstanding. Very affordable rate also a big plus.
