Stayed after a long day of rafting in the North Woods if NH/Maine. Arrived late and we got a nice room for a good price! Very simple, very clean rooms. I'd absolutely come back. Only 4 stars because i would like to see any sort of continental breakfast.

Just returned from a three night stay and can't wait to go back! The Seahorse offers a very clean, relaxing setting and the new owners are great. The entire staff was friendly and very helpful. You've got to try the ice cream too! Delicious.

We wanted to stay the weekend at the last minute and after trying over 50 places we ended up only being able to book Sarurday night at the Seahorse. The owner Liz could not have been more helpful . She let us park in the Motel lot early in the morning and told us about the Wells trolly which for... More

Rooms were very clean and the grounds were pretty with willow trees, lily pond, and a family of ducks. The only downside was the beds and pillows. The beds are very firm and the pillows were like pancakes. We actually bought our own pillows at Walmart. Otherwise not bad for the price.

The new owners of the Seahorse resort have done wonders to this property. We had a great time with family and friends and couldn't be happier with our stay at the Seahorse resort. My understanding is that this property was previously known as the Sleepytown and was not in very good condition with many bad reviews. Everyones room was clean... More

We stayed here for two years in a row back in the 90's when it was called Sleepytown. What a dump that used to be! The new owners bought this place a year ago and changed the name to Seahorse Resort and Cottages. What a huge difference!! We stayed in a 2-bedroom cottage for 5 nights at the end of... More

We recently spent two nights in one of the motel rooms at Seahorse and had a great stay! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The rooms have been recently remodeled but this is still a budget motel so don't expect all of the extras such as a hair dryer or coffee maker. There is a mini fridge which was... More

My wife and I have made a routine of heading to Maine with our daughter and working our way from Freeport, down the coast back home. Our daughter is now 5 and now we also have a 2-year-old. We like to stop in Wells because it is very accommodating to vacationers, and because great culinary opportunities are always around. When... More
