We stayed for 2 nights with 3 young boys and could not have been happier. This inn is immaculate, gorgeous, extremely welcoming and even family friendly (although it would be wonderful to come back without the kids as well!) The inn keeper is a fantastic host, breakfasts were great and the grounds are breathtaking. The boats on the lake are... More

We stayed in the Sugar Bear Cottage and it was one of the best places we have ever been! The Cottage is perched on the top of the hill overlooking the beautiful pond. It was private and quiet and we completely relaxed during our stay. The Cottage was beautifully decorated and immaculate, and we enjoyed the extra touches such as... More

Jim and Christy were great hosts, adding a friendly personal touch to an already comfortable atmosphere. They offered directions to places of interest, suggested area trails and restraunts and even give their cell phone number to guests when they are out of the Inn. Breakfast was delicous and served with a friendly smile and genuine conversation. Nearby lake and area... More

My fiance and I went to the Inn for a romanic getaway, and were excited to experience the Bed and Breakfast type setting. They offer some rooms with semi-private baths, and some with their own private baths, complete with jacuzzi tub! We were worried we may have to socialize with the other guests, as we only wanted to relax by... More

My husband Chris and I eloped at Bear Mountain Inn. We had a wonderful time, Jim and Christi were amazing! They took care of our every need before we even knew we had one. All around the best place we have ever stayed, and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a place to stay in Maine.

My new wife and I eloped to this inn. The website doesn't do this place justice - it is very beautiful and peaceful. Jim and Chris are terrific people, very warm and friendly and they made every effort to make our stay a memorable one. We also had 2 friends who spent the weekend with us - they couldn't believe... My fiancee Janine, my brother Tom, his girlfriend Susan and I all visited Bear Mountain Inn the second weekend in March 2010. For Janine and I, it was our second stay at the inn, for my brother and his girlfriend it was their first. Three of us travelled by car from NYC on Friday afternoon and Janine joined us via... More

My fiance and I were looking for the perfect place to elope in Maine. We didn't bother to look anywhere else when we stepped foot on this beautiful property. It was exactly what we were looking for. Our elopement quickly turned into a destination wedding when my family from the west coast joined us. The innkeepers, Jim and Christie, treated... More

I am not a real B&B person, but from the moment the car turned the corner and headed for the Bear Mountain Inn, I was completely smitten. The feeling lasted for the entire weekend, from the congenial owners, the fantastic Grizzly Bear Suite (with amazing view) and the private meal that was arranged for us. The breakfasts were hearty and... More
