Looked for a place to stay a few days over Christmas near Sugarloaf. The rooms looked cozy online and the owners were friendly so we booked the room. It was perfect for my husband, me and our two dogs. The full kitchen was a plus and we were able to enjoy the holiday, skiing and our pups! The only draw...

Thank you for taking time to rate our motel... the note above the heater says "This heater becomes very HOT, it will burn anything that is lying directly on it or against the front of it. Something burning on it could cause a fire". These heaters are very efficient and heat the rooms so well (even in a power outage)....

We have stayed here several times since our family moved into the area. The rooms are always clean and Cindy always remembers us and our preferences from one visit to the next. She and Mark know the area and always point us in the right direction. They are warm and friendly which always makes our stay like a home away...

We booked a night at the motel because our party of three was going on a hike in the Bigelow Preserve in the Stratton area. We said we would get there around 10-11 PM and they said they would leave a key for us in the event that they were gone. As we came in, they were still there and...

We stayed at the Mountain View Motel for one night during our recent trip throughout Maine. Our GPS took us on a "short cut" which put us several hours behind schedule and we didn't arrive until almost 10 PM... The owners kindly waited up for us and were very friendly and helpful. They gave us tips on where to look...

Great roadside motel convenient to Sugarloaf. Free wifi. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is that the rooms are not very sound proof. You can hear traffic and other guests. But, generally the place is very quiet. If you spend the day downhill and x-country skiing, you will be so tired that you won't hear a...

Four friends and I decided to stay here instead of the Sugarloaf Mountain Hotel to snowboard for four days. It's a lot less expensive and only ten minutes from the mountain. We booked a room fit for three with the plan to put an air mattress in the kitchen as it was the least expensive room. When I told the...

I was very impressed with our room. It feels like a cozy log cabin and it has a full kitchen! No complaints. Everything was very clean and it's close to sugarloaf. We stayed for 2 nights and it was very inviting.

I absolutely loved this motel! All the rooms look like log cabins! We had a very comfortable bed, microwave and fridge, and a beautiful view of Cranberry Peak right outside our window. If you're looking for a place that embodies the feel of the Maine western mountains, this place is it. It's very close to a grocery store, a couple...

My hiking partner and I have stayed at the Mountain View Motel several times while hiking the four thousand foot peaks in the Stratton area. This facility is a hidden treasure, Mark and Cindy were woderful hosts and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. My only reluctance in reporting is that too many people will hear about it...

I stayed at this motel the night before hiking the Bigelow Range on the Appalachian Trail. My room (#2) is equipped with a very well outfitted kitchen with all the dishes and appliances you could want for a short stay, or even a week's stay. The coffee maker was supplied with a dark roast "Einstein" blend by nearby Carrabasset Valley...
