I was disappointed with my stay at the Claremont. If you are looking for a century type hotel you may enjoy the Claremont. It is really more of a bed & breakfast than a hotel. The rooms are teeny tiny and the furniture & fixtures...More

We stayed in a 2 bedroom unit that had view of the sound from the master bedroom, living room and deck. There was a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, full kitchen and large deck with table for 4. There are some units right on the water, but not sure if they have gas or wood fireplaces. Beal's lobster pier is short walk away and is excellent. Thurston's lobster pound is about 15-minute drive and is also excellent.
