We have been coming here for 3 summers now and have greatly enjoyed Bob and Diane's gracious hosting and exquisite cooking at their on site restaurant. The guest rooms are nicely appointed and the inn staff make you feel at home. They go above and beyond to make you comfortable and to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The...

We stayed here for one night and that was enough for us..Its a very clean cute place to stay and the resturant in this inn is outstanding!! BUT with no air conditioning and shared bathrooms this in is not what u hope for..Thank god it had a sink in our room because even with the fan and only one outlet...

My title is a little strong....But what can I say....The initial exposure is quite good, as you are rapped up in the atmosphere of the old hotel.Close enough to the beach to hear the waves breaking,if the wind is co-operating. Wonderful salt smell from the Atlantic ocean! Now to the meat...I want to preface this rating by saying two things.....

Have spent many weeks in the spring and summer at the inn. This inn is a very special place from the owners , staff , and superior food . The most relaxing place to unwind . Would highly recommend it to anyone who loves the beach getaway. Bev and Bruce hudson Quebec.

Beautiful small Maine seaside village. Inn is fun but if you are looking for a luxury room this isn't it. No heat our ac in rooms but this was not a problem for us. We chose an en suite room so it was nice having our own bathroom. Not many people here and it was very quiet. Great place for...

My family has been going to the Higgins Beach Inn for over 40 years. My parents introduced me to the hotel as a child, and I have been returning every few years with my family (and by myself!). This is a place where they give you a real key to your door, has comfy chairs and old magazines to read,...

There were some positive aspects to this inn but the cons far outweigh the pros. PROS: -close to the beach -inn seems quaint and communal -appears clean CONS: -check-in was brusque, inattentive -inn is dated - to be expected from many beach-area inns -dinner menu is $$$ given the quality (not great) and proximity to Portland (where AMAZING meals can...

Nice old Building. Very quaint. Close to the beach. Could be very romantic. Rooms are small and old but nice. Bathrooms are small. Some rooms only have shared bathrooms so make sure you know what you are getting. No tv's in the room and no A/C, so if it's hot you will not be pleased. Fan's are in each room...

Just loved this beach although small in size it more than made up for its size, this jewel has been hiding from me didn't even know it was there. I would definately go back again next year. The rooms were not big, no AC but it really didn't matter as being near the ocean there was a breeze at night....
