The Black Point Inn may be the single reason my wife and I will definitely return to Maine. We loved everything about it! From location to views to service, food, and ambiance, this place was by far one of the highlights of our five-star tour!

Had lunch with friends in this spectacular setting on Prouts Neck overlooking Saco Bay. The Inn is beautiful and the food was delicious. Reservations are strongly recommended. We had locally raised hamburgers with potato salad. Oh my, so good. They have vegetarian and gluten free options too, including GF bread for my sister's burger. The Inn closes for the winter... Had lunch here this week with a friend using the 2-for-1 coupon from the Press Herald. The friendly front desk receptionist not only allowed us to park in their lot while we did the Cliff Walk before lunch, but also went out of her way to assist us in getting a lunch reservation before we left for our walk. The... More

My mom's cousin brought us here for a delicious lunch while we were visiting Maine. My mom enjoyed a wonderful lobster roll and I had a delicious beet & goat cheese salad with chicken. The end of their season was approaching rapidly, but service was still top notch. I would definitely try to go again if I ever return to... More

This historic inn is a beautiful place to stay or just stop in for lunch (which we did). The Chart Room is casual so you can come in directly from the Cliff Walk hike and then enjoy a drink and lunch. The menu has salad options, seafood options as well as a local burger and chicken. The food was delicious... More

We spent one night here and our stay was definitely TOO SHORT. Wow, what a gorgeous inn this is. The building is beautiful and gracious, the setting is idyllic, the rooms are spacious, the beds are super comfy, the restaurants are pleasant and the food is delicious, and most of all - the staff is very friendly and helpful. We were a group of 16 gathering for a mini high school reunion 51 years later, and although 3 of us live here, most had never been to Maine. We choose the Black Point Inn's enclosed porch for cocktails and dinner and couldn't be happier. The setting is stunning, and the lovely fresh flowers made a gracious impression. We were... More

On Thursday Sept 29, 2016 my wife and I took a dear friend and her 92 year old mother in law to lunch at the Black Point Inn. We traveled to Proust Point Maine for Labor Day weekend. The key word is relaxation in a picturesque area. The Black Point Inn is a small, intimate hotel situated between two spectacular beaches. The sunsets were overwhelming. There are two restaurants, one for classic, rich dining (huge fireplace), the other a more sporty, informal facility with in- or outside dining.... More
