This campground has new owners and they are working very hard to improve this site. It is a wooded campground with spacious sites. A path leads one to the "deck" with comfortable chairs right over the rocks. One has incredible views of Clam Cove, lobster buoys and lobster men, a light house, - I can't really say enough about this...

We wanted a quick getaway and booked a cabin for the weekend. We saw the last reviews and are happy to report that there are new owners and they are quickly making good changes. The campground was well raked and clean. Our cabin was down by the ocean and called "Captains Quarters". It was appointed with charts of the area....

We camped here for the first time midweek. The camp sites are nice with a good amount of space between sites. We used the electric and water only. I was disappointed in the upkeep of the bathroom and shower areas. Neither of these areas were cleaned the entire time we were here! 4 of the shower rooms, which are open...

Stayed over labor day weekend so it was crowded however very quiet. Only a few pull throughs. Nice laundry facilities and bathrooms. Easy to miss when driving however, very quiet and no road noise. A path leads down to the most beautiful Maine view looking out on islands and water for as far as you can see. A morning walk...

Not a bad campground depending on the site your on. We were right next to the road and it was noisy through the day and into the night. If I would have known, I would have gotten a site in another area, but we had already set up. Don't choose 49,77,78,79 or 80 these sites are on the road there's...

While we were not able to stay, we had booked a site. When we called to cancel, we were told we would not get any money back even with a two week notice. This place is a ripoff! Do not book! Other places do refund the money. We have stayed here in the past, but NEVER again!

This is our second season staying here. Last year year we were hesitant about coming here after reading the reviews. We came up a day early to check out our site and the rest of the campgrounds. We were surprised at the size of the site that we had booked not knowing what to expect. We were very surprised to...

The cabin had huge air gap around door, no weatherstripping. As soon as we got in, and put luggage down, took one step, picked up STAPLE on floor from Halloween Night one year BEFORE. Staff asleep at switch for being observant of rowdy campers. Junky picnic table was dry rotted, bowed to the GROUND. Owner tried to tell me it...

We love it here and plan to stay. As always with ownership changes there are ups and downs. We are forgiving people and find that the staff who are here have stuck to it with helping to make this a great place to stay! Friendly staff makes every effort to bring enjoyment to your stay, whether short or long term....

I tent camped here for two nights while on a three week motorcycle trip. The camping site was nice and flat for a tent. I had electric and water at my site. The restrooms and showers were okay, not horrible and not great. Things could have been a little cleaner. Two of the showers were out of service, and it...

“Like a lot of campgrounds, being close to the highway can be a problem for light sleepers. So check out the map and choose accordingly. We did. I am a light sleeper and slept soundly through each night.”
