From the moment we arrived we were well cared for in a most tasteful home. The accommodations were comfortable and spotlessly clean. Breakfasts were delicious and nutritionally well planned. Views of Prospect Harbor from Julie's Room added to a most pleasant experience.

My wife and I (mid-sixties) have enjoyed several trips to the Maine coast over the past few years. We were very happy we chose to stay at Elsa's on this visit. We were warmly greet by the owner, Scott, and shown to our room. We stayed in Jane's room which is upstairs and on the back corner of the house.... More

From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome by the owner, Scott. The place is impeccably maintained, the breakfast was delicious and we enjoyed the people we met there. It is close to the scenic Schoodic Peninsula and one can eat very well in Winter Harbor--all of 7 min way. We were given excellent advice on our sightseeing. Only... More

We have driven by Elsa's many times over the years, and now that Oceanwood Camping is no longer in existence, we wanted to give it a try. Our room was "Dorothy's", door was on the front porch, so easily accessible...no big flights of stairs! Scott made us welcome, and immediately offered treats that Heather, his fantastic chef, had made available.... More

Located in Prospect Harbor near both Winter/Birch Harbors and perfect for visiting the Schoodic National Park. Nice rooms that are large, clean and comfortable. There is some minor road noise at night although the remote location keeps this to a minimum. Breakfasts by Heather are plentiful and luscious and the big living room is great for NFL games! We felt... More

My adult daughter and I spent 2 nights here. We LOVED it! The facility was beautiful and clean. Breakfasts were wonderful. The kitchen was nicely stocked for late night snacks or a glass of wine. They graciously allowed me to do a load of laundry at no extra cost. I plan to return with my husband, and we will definitely... More

We stayed by chance at Elsa's and had a terrific experience. The inn is well run and truly a wonderful place to stay. We stayed in Jane's room, and she surely must have been a remarkable young women to have such a nice place named for her. Jane's room is not big, but very comfortable: nice bed, linen and pillows.... We loved this cozy spot and enjoyed our view of the water and the lobster boats. Breakfast was great. Owner had good suggestions for dinner and he knew how much to talk and how much to leave us be, a real talent! Our room was spotlessly clean and very comfy. I loved being close to the "back door" of Acadia.... More

It was a hot and sunny day. We arrived early afternoon to the Inn and a sign "sorry we're not here right now to greet you", so we called the number. Scott told us he's at lunch -"go ahead inside, have a cold drink, I'll be there shortly." The place felt like home just walking in the front door. A... More

When you think of Maine, you picture a harbor setting with lobster and fishing boats moored in a bay. That's what you see from the front porch at Elsa's Inn on the Harbor. We stayed in the Dorothy room accessed from the front porch. Many times we've stayed in B&B's with only one room chair. The Dorothy room was furnished... More
