Our short stay in Portland was at the end of a driving tour through New England before going home to Canada"s west coast. We wish we had more time to enjoy this exceptionally well-run inn .Our room was very pretty and was close to the early morning coffee service available. It had everything needed, and more, for a relaxing stay....

The house is full of character, we stayed in room 4 and loved the space and the hospitality. Cookies and tea and coffee available all day. Breakfasts were AMAZING! Good choice too. I couldn't pass on the waffles! We happened to arrive on the first Friday so all the museums were free to enter, our hosts pointed this out to...

My Husband and I spent four nights at the West End Inn in October as part of a holiday to US ravelling from Northern Ireland. We were in Room 2, which was a lovely room, nicely decorated with a very comfortable bed and a spacious en-suite bathroom. The room was spotless and very comfortable. We arrived early as we were...

Newly updated Inn with elegant rooms and exceptional linens made our impromptu visit to Portland lovely. I loved the green consciousness of the Inn keeper, whos guidance for lunch with a view was amazing as well as the personal touches throughout the Inn. Although our private bath was disconnected from our room the towels and amenities were first class! Breakfast...

My wife and I spent 3 nights in this lovely B&B as part of an overall one month New England vacation that included staying in 9 bed and breakfast inns in 5 different states. This inn was the second one of the 9 we would be staying in during our 30 day adventure. The West End Inn did not let...

The caretakers are truly passionate making sure their guests are satisfied. Will plan a trip to Ma JUST to stay here again!

We stayed here our second night in Portland. A little removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown P'land, which was fine with us. A nice, quiet area. The rooms are well-appointed and cookies, tea and hot chocolate available at all hours. I did feel it was a bit pricey compared to other B&Bs we've stayed at but during the...

There are very few B&Bs that simply get everything right; the West End Inn does. From the moment you check in and Deb welcomes you with a tour pointing out the plate of fresh cookies on the table, the coffee, tea, and sparkling water that is always available, the ice maker in the entry hall, the comfortable lounge with gas...

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodations were very comfortable and nicely appointed with lots of pillows on the bed, quality soaps and a large spotless bathroom. The common space was cozy with a gas fireplace and large windows. In the morning we were impressed with the freshly made muffins, fruit and eggs.... all delicious! Definitely would recommend.

Excellent place. My room was number 2 at the front of the property. Really pretty room with views onto street. Furnishings of highest quality and the bed was to die for. Great advice for restaurants and things to do from the owner. Neighbourhood great. Very highly recommend!
