Had been in the area a number of times and had dined in the resataurant on premises, so decided to stay at the hotel. It is expensive, but we felt that it was worth it, as many of the newer hotels in the Old Port area are in the same price range without being as convenient to all the attractions...

We arrived to Portland about 6 p.m. and got the car valeted and checked into our room in less than 20 minutes. The room was very cozy and they the rain style shower heads, now I want that for my house. We had friendly staff but they when asked they offered no suggestions. We asked about places for brunch and...

We like to walk everywhere so this hotel's central location was perfect for us. The room was clean and the building itself has historic touches. Every staff member we met was very friendly and helpful. Be sure to take advantage of the free airport shuttle. The bathrobes were a nice touch. Our only complaint was that it was pricey.

Stayed at the this very quaint hotel for our first trip to Portland and loved it. We had a balcony room and enjoyed having coffee in the morning and relaxing in evening. They had a very small but nice workout room. The negative about the room was that the carpet was coming up and was very wavy but it was...

We were looking for a convenient location to the waterfront since we were staying for only one night. Our bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. My husband loved it. The staff was most helpful and professional. We asked to check out an hour later than posted and they were very accomodating. We also received a...

The location of Regency is just perfect, right in the heart of downtown near all the shops and waterfront. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our first time stay here very much and can't wait to go back!

Ideally located on Milk Street in the heart of downtown Portland, The Regency is a great place to stay. It is just a stone's throw from the waterfront, and close to shops, museums, restaurants and attractions. The staff is professional and friendly, rooms are comfortable, and the rates, given the location and the position of this former armory, are quite...

Being from Portland, Maine, We have stayed at the Regency for more than 20 years and love that we can walk right out their door and onto the streets of Portland. Their restaurant, lounge, and spa are Top Shelf! And the staff are wonderfully accommodating . We love the outside patio in the summer months where smooth jazz and cocktails...

Needed a room for one night on Labor Day evening. Called and there was a room available with a king bed on the lower level. Price as $159, not bad for a $300 plus hotel. Now, when we get to the room, it is lower level with windows looking out to the street, but very comfortable and worth the price....

The hotel is right in the middle of where you want to be. It is (apparently) a converted armory We booked a fairly expensive room on the fourth floor- the only rooms that have balconies. The room was very large, a huge bathroom and nicely equipped. The large balcony has seating and my wife and I took full advantage of...
