Really enjoyed our time at the Danforth which ironically I visited close to 20 years prior. It's a beautiful establishment. Rooms are well appointed but unfortunately noisy. A garbage truck waking us early in the am and not wanting to use the air conditioning unit also due to noise. The only other negative was the location. It's quite a "long"...

On our arrival we were cheerfully met and checked in. Our room was very well appointed with beautiful wood work. Breakfast the next day was detailed and the presentation as well as the quality was terrific. Even our individual menu was personalized with our first name printed on it. Their gardens were impeccable. An afternoon cocktail as their quaint bar...

Innkeepers and staff were great, very helpful and outgoing. Hotel had a great ambiance: music, decor, etc. Included breakfast was delicious. Great location, not far from Old Port or Arts District. Highly Recommend, would book again!

My husband and I were so very impressed by The Danforth. Warmly welcomed and shown our cozy room, to delicious breakfasts and a night cap at the well-stocked charming bar, to the peaceful and beautifully renovated house, we loved our experience and will definitely return.

If you want to be spoiled, spend a few days at The Danforth. It is centrally located to everything you'll want to do in Portland, and there is a lot to do. We stayed in the Eastern Promenade room which is the room featured in their magazine ads. WOW! Very sumptuous. The hotel is a Victorian mansion that has been...

The personal service was awesome. The Danforth is quite intimate and the staff was friendly and very attentive to our every need The facilities were luxurious --bed was great--room was spacious--bath was modern, tasteful and comfortable.. The dining was very impressive. Very elegant. Delicious. In short, staying at the Danforth was like staying in home of a close friend

We spent two nights in this lovely Inn. Beautiful, light and airy room. The service was wonderful - all were committed to making your stay comfortable. Breakfast was great, including the special touch of putting your names on the menu card. The art work around the Inn was stunning and most interesting - definitely fit with the upscale and contemporary...

Attentive staff, comfortable rooms (our was the third floor Longfellow Square), and delicious breakfasts - all the ingredients of a first class stay. We particularly appreciated the asian/modern art that adorned many of the spaces. The waterfront is about a half mile walk and Congress Street and the Portland Museum of Art a little less. Despite the sign saying it...

We spent a weekend here and had a great time. This place is perfect! The service is amazing and the rooms and facilities are pretty and well maintained. Breakfast is good and drinks at the bar great, although maybe a bit overpriced.

Pear treated us like family, made us a special breakfast (for the road), because we had to leave early for our flight. Worth every penny. Meals were amazing, great atmosphere, warm people. Hated to leave.
