This lovely renovated farm house has all the modern amenities including a full kitchen, is very peaceful and comfortable, and is located right in the middle of some beautiful country that begs to be visited. It's a great place to return to after a day in Baxter State Park, the new and stunning Katahdin Woods & Waters National Monument, the...

We stayed in the North apartment. It was beyond our expectations and we wished could have stayed longer. The trails were full of birds and horses. An outdoor grill was available which was an unexpected bonus. Everything you might want to cook can be found at the local grocery. The view from the picture window in the upstairs bedroom was...

This is a working dairy farm operated by an Amish family. The original farm house has been renovated and converted into two apartments -- both with a view of Mt Katahdin. The apartment was well furnished, very comfortable and spotless. (My house should be this clean.) The farm is open to apartment residents and has well maintained paths including one...

Unique and extremely comfortable. Like stepping back in n history right outside your door with your basic luxury inside. Location location! Watched them hook up the horses and take the milk to where the dairy picks it up about 3 miles away. Mount Katahdin views are so beautiful.

We are so happy we found this beautiful farm house to enjoy a night away. We can't wait to go back and will be recommending this lodging to friends and family. It was very clean, the view was stunning, kitchen stocked with everything you need, great furnishings and decor, the bed was very comfortable. To wake up and see Mount...

We stumbled across this beautiful 1890's farm house and stayed the night because the gracious owner, Chris, allowed us to drop in. She accommodated our schedule, letting us have an apartment at the last minute. We loved it! Clean, well furnished, quiet, great bed, perfect interior decorating, lovely trails, and everything you need for comfort. Can't say enough about it.

Mountain Glory Farm is a glorious place to stay, and I would recommend to anyone who wants to get away from it all and/or explore the north woods of Maine. For purely selfish reasons, I am almost hesitant to write about how clean and comfortable the farmhouse apartment is and how peaceful the location, but it would be a disservice...

This is the perfect place to relax. It sits back on a quiet country road with beautiful views of Mt. Kahahdin (if it's sunny!) through the large picture windows. Very secluded and romantic! The farm had two "apartments"; we were in the north apartment. It had a lovely interior, very clean, and tastefully decorated. We only wished we had stayed...

We rented a two-bedroom apartment at Mountain Glory Farm in Patten. It's a 170 acre farm on Happy Corner Road and we really enjoyed our three nights there. The apartment (the farm house has been made into two vacation apartments) has very comfortable furnishings, was meticulously clean and the views are spectacular. It's a quiet and peaceful place. Just over...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mountain Glory Farm is located right on the edge of the Great North Woods in Patten, Maine. It is an area full of history, unspoiled beauty, rolling farm fields and small towns populated with friendly Mainers who have been here for generations. It is also an undiscovered 4 season paradise for a wide variety of outdoor activities including: moose safaris, birdwatching, fly fishing, hiking, canoeing, rafting, hunting, ultralite flying, ice fishing, cross-country skiing and snowmobiling. Nearby Baxter State Park's 200,000 acres of protected wilderness is a photographer's delight, crowned by Mount Katahdin where the Appalachian Trail begins. The farm is also the perfect place for anyone who wants to sit peacefully looking out over God's country, observe the Amish way of life and maybe take an easy stroll to watch the grass grow, the leaves turn or the snowflakes fall. Our circa 1890 farmhouse has been reconfigured and renovated offering two duplex apartments. The "home away from home" accommodations provide cozy living rooms, fully equipped kitchens, barbecue decks, new bathrooms and spacious bedrooms with big, warm comforters. Each apartment is well stocked with books, games, maps, satellite TV and a Guest Book full of all the information about this area you will need for "what to do" & "where to go". Views from the farmhouse are of fields and pastures, hedgerows, the mountain range, Mt. Katahdin and our young Amish family's farming endeavors. Moose, red fox, whitetail deer, bear, snow hare, wild turkeys and partridge all wander freely about the farm. Eagles, hawks and ravens soar down the valley. Our 170 acres are ringed with apple trees which in the Spring fill the clean mountain air with their delicate fragrance. And our newly reclaimed heirloom apple orchard blooms right next to the farmhouse. Other farms on the road raise an interesting mix of creatures and crops including: pheasants, horses, long horn steer, cows, dogs, goats, geese, potatoes, hay, blueberries, corn, apples, raspberries and many veggies. Mountain Glory Farm is a classic Maine farm that just happens to be located right on the edge of a wilderness mountain paradise. Choosing the right name for something can be perplexing sometimes. Naming this farm was easy: "Mountain Glory" it is. ... more   less
