We had a wonderful stay at the Captain Quarters with our two young boys, my 16 yr old niece and our dog. We stayed in Suite 5 with the King Bedroom, full kitchen and pullout couch. Peter and Scott were wonderful in accommodating the last minute addition of our niece and added a c

This is my first time writing a TripAdvisor review, but I was so impressed by Captain's Quarters that I needed to post! There are a handful of hotels that are "dog-friendly" but this one is really designed for you and your dog (including even a hook to hold the leash in the room

How do you contact this hotel in the off season? No one answers the phone or email.
We made our reservation online. The owners also run the Gazebo Inn up the road so maybe you could try calling them there. 207-646-3733

You don't need a 5 night minimum to book a room/ suite in August? Thanks for any info!
We have a 2 night stay and a 3 night stay left in August, if you are talking 2016, you can give us a call with your dates and we will fit you in if we have space, thank you...

I was wondering the same as the above person..... When you say "more so in off season" were you referring to the beaches being more pet friendly, or the restaurants,,, or both? Also, are all the cute shops and good restaurants open in Sept/ Oct as they are during season? We've never been to Maine- is the water swim able in late summer ? ( meaning > 70 degrees?). We have a sweet but anxious Maltese and don't like to board her, my " dog sitter" son is unavailable next year. Thanks!
The beaches open up to the dogs in October, so I was talking about the beaches, its a great place to visit in the off season with dogs !

How dog friendly are restaurants in Orgunquit? We just got back from Bar Harbor and Portland and could not get over how dog friendly these towns are. We are looking to stay next year possibly in Orgunquit to break up trip - Orgunquit- Bar Harbor-Portland - we are driving from CT.
Good Afternoon, off season Oct - April much more than the Summer, only a small handful of places to eat with the dog, Ogunquit does have a very nice dog park, just not a lot of eating places, you would have to leave the dog in the room for that, if you want to talk more about it give me a call 207-646-3733 Scott
