This was one of the only places with a room. We ended up in one of the elevated cabins with an awesome view. Nice casual accommodations. A delicious cocktail at happy hour on a rainy day, relax. Breakfast was fresh, though the kitchen seemed to have a hard time keeping the bacon available.

This is not a modern Inn. If you would love to take a trip back in time, this is the place for you. It's a historical Inn. It is away from the hustle and bustle of Bar Harbor. The drive to Arcadia is not far. We found it to be a very clean Inn, but the floors do slant and... More

Let me start off saying that whoever wrote the bad reviews of this place that made my relatives give my son and his now wife grief for choosing it are a bunch of crazy people! The location and service at this inn were fabulous. My sons wedding was stunning. The general manager Will, the coordinator Sue and all their staff... More

My wife and I spent a couple days at the Asticou Inn recently while touring Maine. We found it to be charming and delightful. We found the reception staff to be friendly and most helpful, especially when it came time to negotiate our bags up to the third floor. The room, while not a huge suite, was more than adequate... On a recent trip to MDI, we had lunch at the Asticou twice. Lovely setting, fabulous service and excellent food. Skip the Jordan Pond popovers and eat them here. Lobster roll, soups, salads and blueberry pie were all terrific. Our servers on both visits were so friendly and efficient. Well worth a visit!

This place looked really beautiful and updated online, The reality is somewhat tarnished, Our room was in an annex building so I can't describe the rooms in the actual inn. Ours was up a flight of stairs, no elevator, The nice part was a small sitting room with a TV. The bedroom was small but adequate. We had two small... More

If you want/need everything to be perfect and shiny new, you need to be at Trump Tower. Remember, this is an historical facility beside the sea! We stayed in the Deluxe King downstairs in the Blue Spruce. Separate living room, dining room, mini kitchen, large deck. The only drawback to this suite is the noise from guests upstairs. There was... More

I was told that the reason there were virtually no modern conveniences (TV, Internet Service, Cell phone service, etc.) was to keep the Inn historically accurate, I found the room very disappointing. It was not charming and extremely sparse. The breakfast (included) was very nice. My wife and I found dinner to be very expensive.

My husband and I were quite disappointed in our stay at Asticou. Our room was very old, slopping bathroom floors that make you wonder if the floor is going to give way, a very uncomfortable bed that seemed to be covered in some kind of plastic and made lots of sound when anyone moved. It is old and is badly... More

Nice service, clean, a lot of space. Absolutely amazing view from the floor-to-ceiling windows, however, didn't have time to enjoy as we spent the days out. The contra is overpricing. The whole area is very expensive the choice is either motel or expensive hotels. Though I paid high, liked the hotel, liked the area, and the overall time spent there... More
