what I loved: the fresh, floral arrangements in the hallways, in the dining rooms, on the tables. The baked goods were outstanding. You can't miss the cookie and tea drink at 4pm. I couldn't stop eating the pecan pastry and mint cold tea one summer afternoon. The breakfast off the menu is extra, and is very good, and plentiful. The...

we took the ferry from Rockland to the quiet island off the coast of Maine, after you leave the ferry area you walk up a small hill to the hotel, the rooms are well appointed and the staff was excellent We had the seafarer dinner, which is not at the hotel, they took us by mini van to a beautiful...

Great service, comfortable, casual but charming ambience, ultra-clean room (Matinicus)...everything couldn't have been better. It's all part of the Nebo/North Haven experience and we loved it! Breakfast was delightful including excellent local coffee. We had dinner at Turner Farm so we will have to come back another time for a Nebo dinner. Note: We also dropped in at Calderwood Hall...

While visiting Vinalhaven we were encouraged to dine at the neighboring island restaurant, Nebo lodge. The overall experience was lovely as we were on a small island in coastal Maine and didn't the setting was quite beautiful. We rated our experience as 3 stars for the following reasons: - At 7:45 on a Friday night the kitchen was out of...

We spent eight nights at Nebo Lodge, which is more than the night or two that most visitors tend to spend on the island. We have family on the island and their house was packed tight like sardines, so we were the lucky two to stay down the road at this super comfortable lodge. We spent our first two nights...

I realize the choices are limited on North Haven, but our dinner here was definitely not worth the visit. The drinks and wine however, were very good. My wife and I had an uneatable ribeye. Fatty, over cooked paired with grilled radiacio. Friends had very thin cuts of swordfish; no complaints but it looked weak. The best choice seemed to...

My son and I stayed here for 6 days while visiting local friends on the magical island of North Haven, Maine. The lodge is like a high-end bed and breakfast. Well kept and pretty. Old fashioned but updated. Our room was on the 3rd floor, comfortable and well appointed with private bathroom. Staff is very helpful. Do not expect a...

Really enjoyed our room and our stay at the Lodge. The common rooms were lovely and very comfortable. The chocolate chip cookies were a nice treat and the floral arrangements have now become my iPhone's wallpaper photo due to their gorgeousness! We enjoyed our dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and would highly recommend this inn for a nice trip...

North Haven is one of those Maine "summer" places where people with money and time have come since the late 1800's. So it should not be a surprise that there is an Inn and resturant suitably exquisite. Walk down a lane from the harbor and there it is, Rustic yet gracious. Huge bouquets of flowers everywhere. The menu is limited,...

Nebo Lodge offers dinners and transportation from the mainland via a lobster boat during the summers. The boat ride lasts just under an hour and costs $25 per person plus $5 for parking at the marina in Rockland. Although the boat is barely comfortable, the view is beautiful if it's not foggy or stormy. Arriving at Nebo, we are told...
