We decided to visit New Harbor without too much pre-planning and we were lucky to get a rental at the last minute. These cottages are located on a working harbor and the view is like a picture post card. There are 10 cabins, but there is enough distance between them so that you don't feel crowded. The owners are friendly... More

These are lovely, clean cabins with spectacular, sunny views of the harbor. The host, Belinda, is so cheerful and accommodating, making sure you are comfortable and have everything you need, including maps of the area and listings of restaurants and activities. My husband and I stayed in a one bedroom which was perfect. Very quiet, with beautiful views of the... More

Cottages on the water with wonderful views and home-like amenities. We stayed during the summer with family in and out of town (all family used to stay on site the entire week together) and with teenagers and adults alike, we loved the quiet, the privacy, the lack of cell service, the "to the porch" wireless and limited engagement with the... We had the Osprey cabin. It was perfect--two bedrooms, nice kitchen, large living room. The view from the windows is perfect. These are the sweetest little 50's style cabins with the best view that we have ever seen!! Prices great, friendly hostess. Love, love this place!

Harborside cottages has been my home away from home for many years. The cottages are clean and comfortable and full of wonderful memories for me. Belinda and Chuck are gracious and accommodating hosts who understand, as Belinda's father before her did, that the cottages should reflect the quiet, peaceful spirit of the beautiful Maine coast. No phones in the rooms,... More

Spent the week of September 21, 2014 in the Gull. Weather was wonderful, the lobsters at the co-op were $4.99 a pound and the leaves were just turning beautiful shades of red and yellow and orange. Wonderful place for a peaceful week of relaxation. We'll be back again in 2015!

On a family trip in the summer of 1984, while exploring the magnificent mid-coast of Maine, we found ourselves in the quaint little village of New Harbor. Driving along Route 32, I noticed a small hand-painted sign at the corner of a side road that read “Harborside Cottages.” Out of curiosity, I decided to check things out. At the end... More

Cottages are basic, but the simple life style makes for a great place to relax. WiFi ease some withdrawal pain. Walk to Shaw's for lobster or buy them at CoOp and cook in the cabin. You can relax with a good book, go for a walk at Dodge Point, visit the lighthouse or enjoy the work of local artists.

“Look at cottage floor plans to choose the one best for you. There are one and two bedroom cottages available. With two adults and 3-4 teenagers the 2 bedroom worked perfectly.”

“Pemaquid Point, just three miles from New Harbor, has a lighthouse, gift shop, and restaurant right on the ocean. The Hardy Boat Company offering cruises to Monhegan Island and Shaw's lobster restaurant are within walking distance of the cabins. Cabins have fans but no AC. Hosts are in process of updating all cabins. All cabins have views of harbor, some more than others.”
