It is difficult for me to review this property because it is unlike any other place I have ever stayed. It was like going back in time. I like the old fashioned feel of the hotel and loved the rocking chairs on the front porch. I found the rooms to be clean, the beds comfortable and the breakfast good. I...

We stayed here for two nights in one of their one bedroom suites. These rooms have their own bathrooms, a sitting area and a lovely bedroom. The bed was very comfortable and the overall suite was very large. You have your own patio area to relax and look at the stars or the passing people. The bathroom was small and...

We traveled with our three children and stayed at the Monhegan House. We had a wonderful experience. The Inn was like an Inn in many ways: living space to play games, read books, have tea, coffee or hot chocolate and there was a delicious breakfast that was included in the stay. It is less like an Inn because the owner...

My son, friend and I stayed recently at the Monhegan House. This our first time on the island. First of all the island is a step back in town and probably that way Nantucket was 50 years ago before it was wrecked with tourism. We loved our stay at this place. It is "centrally" located in the heart of the...

I was there in the early 90's with a group, excellent location and to be on a island with a working lighthouse is also a plus! It was neat to lay in bed and watch the flash of the lighthouse come across the wall.

The Monhegan House was recommended to us for dinner and we were grateful for the suggestion! Our meal was wonderful, the wait service was also excellent. The restaurant is very comfortable and relaxing. A good choice if you are on the Island ...

My wife and I ate at the Monhegan House our first night on Monhegan Island - I thought it was probably the best meal I have had in Maine on this three week trip. (We stayed elsewhere at a B&B.) My wife and I are both retired, and especially appreciated the small plates which had some superb entrees in smaller...

My wife and I have been coming here for 10 years and feel like part of the family. The Monhegan House befits the rustic island setting, simple (but clean and fresh) furnishings, open air cooling. Delicious breakfast included in the price and an excellent dinner service. Harbor views. Joined rooms available for families. The Novelty out back (part of the...

I stay at Monhegan House when I travel to the island in the fall. The place has a cozy charm, especially the common room with the stone fireplace. The breakfasts are included in the room rates and are always delightful and filling with a specialty every morning.

We recently had a one-night stay at the Monhegan House after the Island Inn mixed up our reservations. So we had an opportunity to stay in both of these charming old hotels. On short notice, we were given a lovely suite of two bedrooms that had a wonderful view of the village and the lighthouse. The room was very clean...
