This was our second visit to this wonderful inn.It combines waterfront views,a fantastic organic garden, homemade frittatas and most importantly the warmth and welcoming of Kristin and George. It was my first choice of vacation after retirement and will continue to be for many years to come. This is Camden's best kept secret. We enjoyed our 3 night stay at Cedarholm Garden Bay Inn more than I can express in words. The property is exquisitely cared for. The gardens were bursting with Black-eyed Susans, Rudibeckia, Hydrangeas and colorful Dahlias. The accommodations in the Puffin Cottage, set a little back from the shore of Penobscot Bay, were cozy, peaceful, relaxing, simple yet aesthetically pleasing....

We came to the Inn for three nights of quiet relaxation by the Bay, but found so much more: we were restored body and soul amidst the gardens and the sea and the peace of our own comfortable room. Nothing compares to sleeping with the windows open to the sounds of the waves and view of the sunrise. And sitting...

Majestic flower gardens where early morning thoughts collided with the beauty of nature blossoming before you. The liveliness in the bay excited the youthfulness within. Enjoyed every moment in our waterfront cottage, seashell hunting, the rocky shoreline, a geologists dream! Slept at night with the windows open to hear the symphony of beautiful sounds from the waves crashing the shoreline....

My husband and I recently spent two nights at the Cedarholm Garden Bay Inn and had such a wonderful time that, promptly upon returning home, we booked ourselves in for another visit. George and Kristin Palmer, along with Kristin's parents, have created a little waterfront paradise. This family-run property has 6 individual cottages, which were built by the owners themselves....

WE stayed two nights mid July. We felt we were in our very own property on the coast of Penobscot bay. We felt so at home on this special piece of Maine coastline. Beautiful gardens are only one aspect of this property. Short walk to deck over looking the bay made this stay real special. Relaxing on our deck with...

We were lucky enough to find availability at Cederholm for a quick three day getaway from the kids. The minute we drove on to the beautiful property we knew we had found the right spot. Kristin and George have created a quiet and private retreat. Kristin was working in her garden and immediately came to greet us as if we...

George & Kristin Palmer are the most gracious innkeepers. Every square inch of their property is a flower enthusiast, nature lover (seals, loons, kingfishers, etc), gardener's paradise; it is an absolute testament to a true labor of love of not only the Palmers but also Kristin's parents. Breakfast was always a surpriseing delight: fresh fruit, veggie frittata (straight from the garden)...

We returned to Cedarholm at the beginning of August and had a fantastic time. The hosts are wonderful and the Inn is a beautiful, restful spot with incredible Gardens. This part of Maine is our favorite. We look forward to returning next August.

I found this B & B on Pinterest for its beautiful gardens. The pictures online are accurate - simply breathtaking in person. The owners are very personable yet not intrusive - a perfect combo. The cottage was spotlessly clean and beautiful. The gardens are likewise meticulous. Just a beautiful place!
