After 30 years living on Maine coast the wife & I, on school vacation, headed inland for our first visit to the Moosehead Lake area. It is a quiet time of year tourist/business wise and the weather can be funky, so we wanted kitchenette facilities, comfortable space to relax/sleep, and some sort of nice view for 3 nights. We got...

A great spot for quick overnight stay in Greenville, especially with dogs. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and with a nice TV (satellite channels), wifi, and a refrigerator. The decor was dated and the mattress in our room was a bit old but would you expect modern decor in a northern Maine motor lodge?...

It is wise to expect most of Maine to be laid back- because it is. This hotel is simple but perched on a hillside with a lovely view of the mountains and Moosehead Lake. It is 5 minutes from town, has no restaurant but if you are looking for a peaceful spot you'll find it here. In the room there...

Outside of Greenville a few miles. Very quiet and peaceful, hosts were very sociable and pleasant. Interesting gift shop/ guest registration area. Biggest dog I've had occasion to make acquaintance with greeted us at door. Sitting their kids Great Dane, big loveable guy, gentle giant we enjoyed meeting. Had decent breakfast, get there early if you want the blueberry muffins!...

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Kineo View Motor Lodge! Our room was very nice, even with a comfy couch. It was neat and clean, and had a wonderful "North Woods" motif. The views from our balcony were fabulous... Our hosts, George and Diane, couldn't have been nicer! There is a cute gift shop in the...

My husband and I have been spending a long weekend at Kineo View for several years now. We have a standing reservation for the weekend of the Sea Plane Fly-In (which one should never miss), held the weekend following Labor Day each year (the same room for the past few years). The view overlooking Moosehead Lake and the surrounding area...

My husband and I rented a room at the last minute. I was not let down. We had a complimentary breakfast, which was better than most 5 star hotels. The room itself was great. The view, the beds, the TV - everything was great. My husband was speechless from the view alone. We will definitely come back.

We are a family of 5 (3 children) and spent one night at the Overlook Suite of Kineo VM Lodge. We had a big and comfortable suite with cooking facilities and spectacular views over the Moosehead area. The motel itself is in a peaceful spot, a little bit away from the main road and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. A...

This was a clean room with a great view. The blueberry muffins at breakfast were delicious and the owners were very helpful and informative with information on the area. Quintessential Upland Maine is how I would describe this hotel.
