We had an amazing weekend with 20 women x country skiing. 2 nights..one at Lyford, one at Gorman. The trip was flawless thanks to help from the people at the lodges. A few highlights: the sauna at both locations was great way to end the day. The naturalist Katie had a fun evening walk/talk outside that got everyone up and...

A perfect outdoor getaway experience. It is hard to say which was more important; the friendly helpful staff, the beautiful relaxing environment or the delicious food. We are hoping to return again this season for a longer stay.

From the moment you arrive at the entrance to Little Lyford, a long, winding, gentle downhill ski to the lodge, it is just a magical experience. Good food, fun and super competent crew, great rustic cabins, beautiful trails . . . very fun.

We just went to LLL for the second time with two other families. Both visits were between Christmas and New Year's which is right when they open for the winter season. We love it there. We have gotten pretty lucky with snow both years. The only downside of receiving lots of snow while you are there is that they don't...

Little Lyford is a great place to visit. The facility has been upgraded in recent years, and they continue to staff the friendliest crew. The cabins are...

My first trip to Little Lyford did not disappoint. The crew were friendly, knowledgeable and easily engaged in informative conversation about the immediate and surrounding areas. The food was first class - fresh, well-cooked, and plentiful. We caught over 100 Brook Trout as a group during two mornings of fishing, and enjoyed hikes and swimming each afternoon. The buildings are...

More superb hospitality from the Appalachian Mountain Club. Well-maintained cabins, lovely kerosene lamps, plenty of hot showers, all of it cared for by a crew who cook divinely -- and then step out of the kitchen to give trail and gear information. Free kayaks and canoes and all the stars you can count. A glorious place that I will come...

What more can I say! How wonderful to be away from technology in such beauty. The staff are wonderful, the food is unbelievable! We will definitely be back. We were lucky to have the naturalist present on our first night, her knowledge and programs were terrific and made a big difference to our stay. She divides her time between the...
