We came here for a Saturday evening dinner, which we had won at a raffle for the Downeast Lakes Land Trust. The menu of the day featured Memphis style dry rub ribs with cole slaw and Boston baked beans. They were great. To start, they served a beef soup, which was outstanding. Definitely will be back

We had a great family fishing trip at Weatherby's! The first day was on the famous Grand lake Stream fishing for salmon and trout. There is a path down to the river for easy access. The guides were both excellent. We are fairly new at fly fishing and this was the best instruction I have ever had and we caught...

I stayed at Weatherby's this past weekend and the overall experience surpassed my expectations. This year we opted to stay at Weatherby's in Grand Lake Stream for our annual fly fishing trip. The last few years we had stayed in the Rangeley region and found that we spent most of our time, driving and hiking to our fishing spots and...

First of all, thank you for the wonderful experience. My son and husband enjoyed the fishing and the incredible guides. The charm of our cabin, wood burning fireplace along with the call of the loons at night has us planning our return trip. We loved meeting fellow anglers at dinner. Thank you for your gracious hospitality, we will be back!

Cabins old, dirty, cold, poor plumbing. Bath towels old and ragged. Food average, 2 meals especially bad, the prime rib was very tough and way overdone. Hash breakfast mostly fat. Good baked bread and muffins. Bass fishing was small fish only for all groups we saw and talked to.

Fish were plentiful in stream and in lake. Good food and fellowship too. Nice fire at night to warm up. Have enjoyed visits for several years and plan to continue to do so. Beautiful location deep in Main woods. Good respite from heat in South Florida.

Grand Lake Stream is the world's premiere land-locked salmon fishery; Weatherby's, for all its warts, and there are plenty, is the best place up there. So hold your nose and book it but don't complain that Weatherby's has lost its Orvis credentials but forgot to take the sign down. Don't complain that the owners are in a not so happy...

Not sure what the complaint is here, however I can clarify we are an Orvis dealer by choice, just as we chose NOT to pay Orvis for their lodge marketing program beginning in 2014. The decision was purely based on cost/benefit. The lack of benefit made our decision easy. We will be working with Cabelas Outdoor Adventures beginning 2016.

Fished Grand Lake Stream with guide, Roland, October 19 and caught five salmon, four large bucks and a hen 20 incher in the Hatchery and Dam Pools. Then three days of wonderful woodcock and grouse hunting. Limited on woodcock two of the three days and got two on the other day. Made some historic misses on grouse. Hunted over English...

I have been coming to Weatherby's for many years. It only gets better each time that i go there. Jeff and his staff do EVERYTHING to make your stay only the best. The food is outstanding and plentiful. Breakfast choices are great--from the lodge breakfast, to pancakes, to a breakfast sandwich, to lighter fare. All well prepared and PLENTIFUL. the...

It had been at least seven years since our last stay at Weatherby's and it seems that no effort has been put into the upkeep of the cabins. The interior was dirty and who knows when the bedding, pillows and mattress were changed out. The bathroom shower was cramped and the showerhead kept falling off. I understand that at 6'4"...
