I stayed in Fort Kent on business. This is a small town with very few lodging options, so I think it's safe to say that the Northern Door is your best option, unless there's a B&B that I don't know about, which there very likely could be. There are no chain hotels, though. The Inn is right downtown, so you're...

I travel for business, and weather demanded that I change my usual plans, and I chose to stay in Fort Kent, Maine . A delightful surprise, affordable for the area, great friendly service, roomy, new bed, fridge, etc.. I would recommend the Northern Door to anyone .

We decided to attend the Ploye Festival in August and did a frantic search for motel accommodations. The Northern Door Inn seemed to be the only, available motel so we booked a couple nights. This is a throw-back type of motel, reminding us of our early days of travel in the 70s and 80s--refurbished rooms that had been updated with...

We stayed at the Northern Door Inn overnight after completing the 740 mile Northern Forest Canoe Trail, which terminates in Fort Kent. This hotel was everything we could hope for after 32-1/2 days on the water - very clean, comfortable beds, up to date decor with nice artwork that celebrates tis lovely area, odor free (and smoke free), and nice,...

-17 degrees and hungry, we found what we needed; warmth and very good food! It seems to be a local favorite and is now one of mine, even though I won't get there soon. This was on our start of traveling US Route 1 from one end to the other; starting in Fort Kent, Me and ending in the Florida...

Drove from Boston to Fort Kent, ME. (9 Hours), and was pretty tired when I arrived. Check-in was easy and quick. The room was very clean, roomy and very comfortable. The room had 2 queen sized beds, and the mattresses were VERY comfortable (not what I expected). They had a basic continental breakfast in the morning which I passed on....

We were in Fort Kent for a family wedding in May. As Fort Kent is way out in the wilds and this is the only motel in town, We weren't sure what to expect. But fear not. Friendly staff, clean, decent sized rooms and comfortable beds made a perfect stay.

The only motel choice in Fort Kent, provides a clean and comfortable stay. The property is a standard motel located at the start of Rt 1. I stayed in a corner room with king size bed. The room was fairly large and I loved the larger windows. The decor is simple and perhaps a little dated, however, the room and...
