They over charge for this very old, not really remodedled motel. If you have a choice ( we didn't), don't stay here. the floor is warped, the beds old and lumpy, old style bed covers. It was not the cleanest place.
Very disappointed with this motel. The room was very out of date and had a musty smell, we had to go buy a candle in order to sleep there. Had to take dirty washcloth back to front desk for a new one.
Would stay here again. Owner, Chuck, was really nice and helpful. Rooms were clean, comfy and was right on RT 1. Always had hot water for shower, and has in room coffee as well as muffins, oatmeal and fruit at breakfast time to get you going. Only drawback, no fridge.
Originally stayed here in 2012 and enjoyed so much we came back. This is a typical 1950's design that has been well cared for and loved. Rooms have pine paneled walls - typical of the era. Motel is clean and quiet. There are two buildings both are drive up to the door…
We spent four nights here in early October. Though nothing fancy, it was clean and comfortable, had a decent breakfast, and reasonably priced. The owners are very nice and sociable. It is the type of small, locally owned motels that I like.
"All first floor rooms, and you can back right up to your motel door."
"look elsewhere for a Motel or Inn"
"don't stay here!"
"The rooms in the back are quieter. But traffic dies down at about 10pm on US1 anyway."
