I was on business in Wasington County and stayed at Motel East. I had an off-season rate which made it a good deal for Eastport. The room was average, but had mini-fridge, microwave, small TV and bidet (??????) that I found odd for a motel Down East. Staff was very friendly and nice. No problems checking in or out. I...

The ONLY things this place has going for it is the view and the proximity to nightlife. A strong odor of urine was prevalent in the main room's stained and dampish carpet (maybe the damp was because it gets foggy a lot in Eastport? But eeyew!! with that smell!!???) The chairs were so groady with black stain, the bathroom sink...

Conveniently located near the historic downtown district, this motel offers a great view of the harbor. The room had a microwave and small fridge. Wifi worked well, and the towels were plush. Not high end, but we enjoyed our stay.

The mattresses were so old and disgusting - absolutely filthy - no words can prepare you for the nastiness of this place. The dirt and dust piled high on base boards and behind bed. Our daughter wanted to sleep in the car. HAD to leave early & forfeit money - really deserves a negative score. God only knows what disease...

This was our first time staying at Motel East and we won't be back. When we entered the room there was an overwhelming smell of stale cigarettes. The beds were only about 6 inches off the ground with no boxspring under the mattress and were probably the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. The curtains were falling off...

The view is great but the digs are awful. My room had no heat (September in Eastport) until I discovered a space heater. There were no instructions and it took me over a half hour to get it started. Furnishings are clearly dated. Wifi did not work as I was not given the code at check-in. There is no service...

I checked in with my two young children and was met with a horrible cigarette smoke odor upon entering our room. I ended up picking up a plug-in air freshener to try to bear the stench as we had to stay for three nights for a family wedding in town. Each time we were in the room (which was as...

Dirtiest room we have ever stayed in. We have seven images to validate this rating. This facility is known by the locals as poorly managed. Requested accommodations on the first floor and received the large subfloor room. Never again!

I think so many of the bad reviews are people looking for a room at The Algonquin across the bay in St Andrews. Our room was clean, with hardwood floors throughout. We stayed for a week and would stay again in a heartbeat. If you're looking for a big city experience with someone on duty 24/7 there's Saint John or...

This is not the worst motel I've ever stayed in, but certainly not the best. The view from the balcony was great, but like most said, was pretty much the only good part about our room. The entire motel is very outdated, but that could be overlooked if not for the dinginess. The carpet looked to be dirty and the...
