The resort's atmosphere is described as enchanting and romantic, offering cultural experiences within its serene and private spaces. While the rooms are spacious and generally comfortable, a few guests suggest that attention to maintenance would enhance the experience. Our honeymoon at FuramaXclusive Resort & Villas Ubud was a lovely experience, a true haven of peace immersed in the lush nature of Bali. The romantic atmosphere, impeccable service and beauty of the Resort made our honeymoon a dream.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with great warmth and genuine kindness. The staff immediately made us feel special, reserving us a Private Villa with swimming pool, surrounded by green paddy fields and lush tropical vegetation. The Villa was simply perfect: spacious, stylish and furnished with a mix of Balinese style and modern amenities, ensuring the privacy and tranquility we were looking for.

The Resort's location, in the heart of nature, gave us a unique sense of peace. Every morning we woke up to the sound of birds and breathtaking views of rice fields. The walks in the surrounding nature and the activities offered, such as spa treatments, have allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in relaxation and well-being.

The restaurant kitchen was another highlight of our stay. Each meal was a treat for the senses, with dishes prepared with fresh, local ingredients, expertly combining traditional and international flavours.

We highly recommend FuramaXclusive Resort & Villas Ubud for an unforgettable honeymoon. The serene atmosphere, discreet luxury and attention to detail made our stay a magical and perfect experience, which we will remember forever.

We were accommodated in a villa with a private swimming pool, we had a pleasant stay of 4 nights there.

The room is very spacious, the bed is comfortable and the cleanliness is remarkable, daily cleaning and preparation of the bed in the evening. We slept very well there.
If there are a few complaints, it is the lack of blackout curtains, and the little storage available. It didn't spoil our stay either.
The private villa doesn't make you want to go out because you feel so good there. However, the common areas are also very pleasant, the swimming pool with its numerous deckchairs and the flowered paths.

Breakfast is taken on the heights with a very pleasant view of the rice fields. It is presented in the form of a buffet, with a stand for eggs, and always staff to bring it to you at the table as well as for hot drinks. Both savory and sweet, we always find something to satisfy ourselves.

The hotel is very out of the way and the traffic of cars and scooters does not encourage walking in the surrounding area. There is a free shuttle which takes you to the city center of Ubud, very practical, however you must book in advance and the times are fixed. It takes 30 minutes of travel time.
We only had dinner once in the hotel restaurant, it was OK, a little expensive. You can find better value for money elsewhere, but you must have a vehicle.

The staff is very cheerful, from the reception staff to the technicians, like all the Balinese people we meet.

For fear of mosquitoes, we had brought repellent, we did not need it. By taking the necessary precautions (not leaving the doors open with the light on) we had no problem and were not disturbed the rest of the time.

A very good stay

I’ve just spent a week at Furama in Ubud with my family (two teenage boys) and we couldn’t have picked a nicer hotel. If you’re looking for swathes of glass and marble in a sterile environment, you’ll be disappointed. But if you want a taste of the real Bali, watching farmers tend their rice fields and kids flying kites, this is the place for you. Ferama is understated and that’s how it should be. The staff are the real stars of the show with each and every one of them serving guests with a huge smile and a “nothing’s too much trouble” attitude. We had a two bedroom villa which could have had more storage and could have been a little bit more up to date, but you know what, the charm of immersing yourself in nature, kicking back and truly relaxing in one of the most beautiful parts of the world, meant that I only really appreciated what we had, once we left. The gardens are beautiful, the Spa is heavenly and the food is delicious. If I had to moan, I’d say please get some steps in the communal pool and give guests more options for hanging clothes. But apart from that, please don’t change a thing.

This hotel may once have been a 5-star hotel, but it is no longer. The rooms (we have both premium room and villa) were beautiful, but especially the villa was characterized by the fact that there were no resources spent on maintenance. It was very moist (which can be explained in part by the rainy season), but to such an extent that our clothes smell moisture.
The breakfast buffet only contained exactly what you could expect at a 3-star hotel. A plus was, however, when we made attention to it we were met with attempts to improve.
Most of the staff was very welcoming (I mention Dian at the pool and Windei in particular) and service-minded (especially restaurant manager) but close to a reception employee (man) who probably called my husband names in Balinese when he made attention to several of the shortcomings.
It takes from 35 min to 1t20 to get into the city of Ubud.
So if you book this hotel you should not expect it to be 5 stars.

Spent 6 nights in a Lagoon Pool Access Villa on a Bed & Breakfast basis.

Prior to arriving I contacted the hotel and they kindly organised a pick up and transfer for us from Seminyak.

The front desk staff were polite with the check-in process being very efficient, we were then taken to our room via a buggy with a tour of the facilities being given on route.

The room was great, huge bed and very airy. The only disappointment was the bathroom which was very tired and in need of renovation, this is also the reason for the lower star rating.

As part of the room you have an outside seating area to the front which is covered. From the bathroom you have access to the private pool area. You also access through a gate a private decking which gives you access to the lagoon pool.

The lagoon pool is about 200m in length, the pool level is flat with the depth being the same throughout. The lagoon pool has a bar which is closed, you can order food and drinks to your room with the service always being quick. For the majority of our stay we had the lagoon pool to ourselves which was fantastic.

The hotel has one restaurant which offers great views of the hotel complex, the sunset from this location is really good. The dinner menu is huge and offers massive variety. We ate in the hotel every night and were not disappointed. The Nasi Goreng was amazing! They also offer a traditional buffet twice a week which has live music and Balinese dancing.

Breakfast provided a varied selection and if you had an early start the hotel offered breakfast boxes which you collect from reception. Make sure you order these the night before!

The bar has an extensive cocktail menu and whilst local spirits are used they all tasted great.

Spa Furama is worth a visit, the massages are really good.

Due to our flight being late evening the hotel was very accommodating and offered a late check-out (chargeable). This meant we could enjoy our last hours in Bali before begging the long journey back to the UK.

Overall we had a wonderful, the hotel is in an amazing setting and the staff were all very nice. A special mention to the barman Budiasa who remembered our names from the moment we met him! The only criticism or negative point were the bathrooms which as mentioned before are in need of some work.

We found our stay here to be okay. Things future travellers may want to know (if looking to book a Lagoon Pool Access Villa):

• The doors etc were not air tight. This meant that lizards and geckos among other things can easily come into the room and in fact we had two noisy geckos that would chirp through the night on our ceiling, but as the villa ceilings are so high there was nothing the staff could do.
• The whole villa has glass walls and doors so you are not spared even in the bathroom 😉 (also, plumbing means you have to place used tissues in a bin instead of flushing down the toilet).
• The pool bar was not operational which was a shame – we had to order the same drinks via room service instead, so there is a workaround but would be easier if the pool bar was manned.
• We weren't able to walk anywhere from the hotel as it is quite far out and secluded. This meant we ate most dinners in the hotel (which of course was pricey).
• The hotel offers a free shuttle to Ubud centre which runs at set times and you have to pre-arrange your pick ups from the designated spot.
• In Ubud centre itself you can go to the Water Palace, Ubud Palace, Campahan Ridge Walk and the art markets.
• Be careful of cab drivers – we sadly had some negative experiences but we found that hiring the hotel’s shuttle drivers outside of working hours was safer although much more expensive than we were expecting (£25 for half a day).
• Things to do in and around Ubud that we enjoyed: Dinner at Merlin’s restaurant (tarot themed, very novel and delicious food), Ubud Palace and Water Palace (15-30 min in each, and you have to wear a mandatory sarong and overcoat in the Water Palace), Campuhan Ridge Walk (very hot and a bit steep so be prepared), Ubud Markets (found some reasonable souvenirs here, but you have to barter), Goa Gajah elephant caves.
• If you have to check out early for a flight, let the front desk know 1-2 days in advance and they will make you a to-go breakfast box to take with you.
• The staff are friendly and the spa services were excellent. The breakfast was simple but there was enough variety – eggs, juices, fruit, breads, some cooked foods too (although we witnessed a member of staff grab a set of tongs for the fruit and use it to shut the blinds behind the buffet, then put the tongs back on the food – so that was interesting!).

The hotel slogan "eat, pray, stay" based on the famous film promised a lot. The same goes for the name of the hotel FuramaXclusive. But unfortunately it was far from it and there was no trace of exclusivity.
We had a bungalow with its own pool. Luckily, because there were only 8 loungers at the hotel pool, which were already occupied in the morning. The pool area was not very inviting either. The lobby is also impersonal and uncomfortable.
The bungalow with garden is quite large with a separate bathroom, toilet and additional outdoor shower. The furnishings are quite old-fashioned and worn, however. The floorboards on the terrace are rotten and pose a risk of injury. The loungers are also old. Some tiles are missing from the pool. In the hotel complex, it is noticeable that there are always bumps on the sidewalks and some of the lighting has been torn out.
The restaurant does not exactly offer a cozy atmosphere. The breakfast is average.
Please renovate urgently and bring it up to the desired star level.
Unfortunately, I can only give it a maximum of 3 stars and no recommendation.

A modern and well equipped hotel at a distance from Ubud. The positives are the rooms, which are large and in perfect condition, the restaurant which has some great options.
The negatives are first of all the distance to Ubud, which is something that must be considered when booking here. There is a convenient shuttle to Ubud centre. The pool is alright, but nothing special. Do not eat food from the BBQ--the meat was not well cooked.
We made a mistake when booking online, but the staff at the front desk went out of their way to make sure we got a room once we arrived.

Shuttle service to and from Ubud terminates quite early which is one of negative points. Had a villa of two separate rooms with private pool which might've given additional benefits during the stay.

Rooms: Good size and clean, but the curtains, mat and furnishings were worn out probably during Corona

Bathroom: A bit different as half was top open to give a feel of the surroundings. It had shower and a large tub, but again needed better maintenance

Sleep: Bed was like old times with a mosquito net, just about fine.

Food: Fine for others, not to taste for Indians during breakfast

Service: Restaurant service during breakfast was fine. Overall service was found wanting and room refills were only on requesting (first time that I've seen in any hotel till date)

Location: The property is a little away from the town and good for people wanting to stay surrounded by farms

We have booked 5 rooms for October month, haven’t mentioned any nationality at first.
Our booking is made on Indian Nationality while as now changing the nationality to Canadian the rates are increasing by almost 23 USD per room per night so for 5N it will be 115 USD!!!
I don’t understand why nationality matters to hotels, all are same. This same we did in another hotels as well but they haven’t charged us for changing nationality. Please keep in mind before booking this hotel
Indians can go ahead, NRI stay alert - you guys are expensive! Lol
