The Hideaway is a great room. 1st floor at the back of the house. Very peaceful and relaxing. The Brewster Inn is all about peace, quiet and tranquility. That’s what you get when you stay here. Somewhere to come that’s comfortable and enjoyable. My gardens will have a couple of big additions this year. I now get people come and...

Some coworkers & I recently spent 3 nights at the Brewster Inn & we loved it! Mark takes on the roll of host so wonderfully that within minutes you feel like you're visiting a long-time friend and you're a welcome guest in his home. The Inn itself is amazing and Mark is so gracious in making you feel welcome -...

Thank you for your post! I’m very happy you enjoyed your stay here at the Brewster Inn. I personally check all my guest rooms to make sure that they are just right and very clean before guests arrive. It doesn’t take more than a few moments to do, and guests appreciate a clean room and deserve one. I always try...

My wife and I recently stayed at The Brewster Inn, Oct 1-3, for our 2 year wedding anniversary. We absolutely loved it!! Mark, the innkeeper, was fantastic. He truly made you feel as if he was inviting you into his home, not just an inn. So welcoming, full of information and extremely helpful in finding dining options and activities. The...

Best B&B Experience – I’m so honored at the title of your review. My every goal is to have all guests feel that way when they leave. The Honeymoon Suite is the perfect choice for celebrating an anniversary. The room encourages romance and allows for quality time together. The French toast casserole is one of the favorite breakfasts here. I...

October 2nd thru the 4th 2012, we stayed at the Brewster Inn. Mark called to be sure we knew how to get there. He was waiting our arrival and helped settle us in for the night. When we got up the next morning he was waiting for us to give us directions to where we had to be for a...

Awesome experience – your title says everything I want guests to feel about their stay at the Brewster Inn. I pride myself on providing as much help as I can to guests, especially when they are not familiar with the local area. My “British” sense of humor is just part of who I am and I’m always thankful when guests...

We recently spent two nights at the Brewster Inn. It was such a great experience for us. Mark was so helpful before we arrived and during our stay. When we arrived, he asked us if we would like to upgrade our room to the Honeymoon Suite, after he had already taken all of our luggage up those long stairs! We...

Lovely, Perfect & Fun – thank you for your kind words and review. I stayed a night at the Brewster Inn a few weeks ago and it was such a wonderful experience. We went to a concert in Bangor, and although the Brewster Inn isn't right in the city it worked out perfectly fine to stay in Dexter. I had never been to a Bed and Breakfast before and really didn't know what...

Above and Beyond - I love to know that all my guests have had a great stay. It especially pleases me to know that first time BnB guests leave happy with their choice to try a BnB, with any fears dismissed. And hopefully will continue to try BnBs in the future. Dear Total Comfort. Thank you for your review. I'm very pleased to know that my choice in pillows made you comfortable enough to leave your own pillow in the car. That was exactly my intention when I chose my new bedding - that guests would feel as comfortable as they would if they were in their own bed. I'm also...

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Brewster Inn while visiting family in the area. Our room was very cozy and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the gardens and my favorite time of all was watching the hummiingbirds come close to us as we ate our tasty breakfast each morning on the patio.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
“A touch of England brought to Maine” courtesy of your English host Mark Stephens. A romantic, friendly, incredibly comfortable National Register bed and breakfast located in Dexter, Maine which is just 15 minutes off I95 and 45 minute drive to the Maine coastline, Bangor and the beautiful, scenic Moosehead Lake and Mount Katahdin region of Maine. My knowledge of the area and things to do and see is excellent. Whether you want to go moose watching, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, snowmobiling, ATV’s, ski-ing, apple picking, antiquing, whatever you want to do, just tell me and I will know the best places to be, things to see and the right people to contact. It’s all about giving my guests the best experience possible in my part of Maine. Stay for a night or maybe a few nights, unpack, treat the Brewster Inn like home, come and go as you please and have a great time. Room prices inc breakfast, Wi-Fi, really comfortable beds, flat panel TV’s. Each guestroom has its own bathroom; some guestrooms have a fridge, microwave or fireplace. The Honeymoon Suite has a large 2 person whirlpool. The Brewster Inn is a former Maine Governor and Government Senators family home and it’s a great place to stay.
