We recently stayed at the beautiful Brewster Inn on a trip to northern Canada. Our one night stay was memorable and we certainly plan on returning to this historic bed and breakfast. Everything in our room was impeccable including the bedding. The bed was so comfortable with wonderful linens. The next morning Mark cooked a fantastic breakfast casserole and many...

We stayed only one night. Mark was very helpful to my daughter in law as she was the one to plan our first tour through Maine. He is passionate about the area and his beautiful historic inn. He has thoughtfully provided everything you would need for your comfortable stay and is also a wonderful chef. He made a delicious French...

What a lovely place. The area is very quiet. The house is beautiful and interesting. Not much around the immediate area, but there are a few decent places to eat not far away. Marc was a great host and very attentive and open to any needs. The gardens look like they will be really gorgeous once completed. It's a very...

My sister lives the next town over from Dexter and had recommended this inn. Mark the owner was good enough to let us check in a bit early, as we came off of a long drive. This inn is very clean and well-appointed. We liked our room (5) and the bed was comfortable. Mark is very personable, and is a...

Thank you for taking the time to post your review. We love knowing that guests enjoyed their experience here. Our breakfast goal is to always provide enough variety to suit everyone's taste. We stumbled upon the Brewster Inn in Dexter while looking for a B & B to spend our wedding night. We are holding off our full honeymoon until the weather is cold and we can go someplace warm, but wanted a “warm” place to celebrate that night. We were thrilled to find this hidden gem a short drive from Bangor....

Thank you so much for your review. When guests tell us they've enjoyed their stay, their room, the gardens and breakfast, it reinforces everything we strive to accomplish. Most importantly, we feel that knowing guests would stay again if in the area shows they enjoyed their time here.

We stayed one night in early August, before heading home. We took a small-ish room on the second floor, but it was nice enough and adequate for our needs and our budget. A lovely dinner for two in the tavern. There was music on the lawn, where many boaters were congregating. We split the generous mussels with Andouille and Cajun cream--they were fresh and delicious. The Brewster's Veal Atlantis still great every time. We'll be back for sure!

“A touch of England brought to Maine” courtesy of your English host Mark Stephens. A romantic, friendly, incredibly comfortable National Register bed and breakfast located in Dexter, Maine which is just 15 minutes off I95 and 45 minute drive to the Maine coastline, Bangor and the beautiful, scenic Moosehead Lake and Mount Katahdin region of Maine. My knowledge of the area and things to do and see is excellent. Whether you want to go moose watching, white water rafting, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, snowmobiling, ATV’s, ski-ing, apple picking, antiquing, whatever you want to do, just tell me and I will know the best places to be, things to see and the right people to contact. It’s all about giving my guests the best experience possible in my part of Maine. Stay for a night or maybe a few nights, unpack, treat the Brewster Inn like home, come and go as you please and have a great time. Room prices inc breakfast, Wi-Fi, really comfortable beds, flat panel TV’s. Each guestroom has its own bathroom; some guestrooms have a fridge, microwave or fireplace. The Honeymoon Suite has a large 2 person whirlpool. The Brewster Inn is a former Maine Governor and Government Senators family home and it’s a great place to stay. Have a read of the reviews to see what other guests say. I always try incredibly hard to give every guest that walks through my door, the best stay ever ... more   less
