Sorry, this is going to be long but I think it's helpful information to know and consider when choosing a place to stay. To begin with, I wish there were more stars to give the Norumbega than just 5. My husband and I were so impressed with the friendly and helpful staff, the lovely room, the FANTASTIC breakfasts each morning,...

Wow! Thank you for such a thoughtful review. We loved having you two stay with us. It's always wonderful to have guests who appreciate the inn for its history and quirks, but also feel comfortable, since it is a house after all. We're glad you enjoyed the breakfasts and dinner Chef Phil creates. We are surrounded by incredible farms (and...

This hotel and staff made this the best vacation we have had in years. Our room was comfortable. The location is a perfect location in Camden and an easy walk to downtown. Sue and staff are very professional.

Husband and I just returned from a lovely trip to Maine where we stayed at this Inn. The Inn is lovely and genuinely old with all the creaks and groans that come with an old building. We stayed in the Caenarvon room on the 3rd floor (no lifts btw) which has a little Juliette balcony and a view (if you...

Thank goodness the cookie fairy keeps those shortbread plates refilled on a regular basis ;) We adored having you two stay with us. Showcasing the area's farmers as well as our own garden is a pride and joy that we're happy you enjoyed it. We hope to see ya'll again very soon!

My fiancé and I stayed at the Norumbega Inn on our summer road trip up the coast of Maine. We chose to stay in bed and breakfasts along the way and the Norumbega Inn was certainly our favorite. The property is well maintained and very beautiful. The staff had a great attention to detail and the breakfast was phenomenal. They...

We stayed here for our 11th anniversary. I had wanted to see the inside of this property for the past 30 years and am so glad we had this opportunity. From the warm welcome by Jackie, and the hospitality of Susan, and the food from the chef, I would recommend staying at The Norumbega at least once if you can....

We enjoyed being a part of such a special anniversary! I'm sorry for the noise from above, but thank you for giving us feedback regarding the AC unit. We will certainly see how we can fix that in the future. We hope to see you again very soon!

We just spent 3 nights at this magnificent inn. The architecture is stunning and mostly original but has been significantly updated and restored. We stayed in the elegant Windsor room which was on the top floor of the turret. My husband especially loved the luxurious spa type robes provided and our room was fully equipped with all the usual amenities....

We loved having you stay with us as a lady of the castle, especially in the turret tower! It's so nice to have guests who truly appreciate the older architecture and ambiance as we continually try to restore and update. Please do let us know how your shortbread come out, and we hope you think of us. We look forward...

We stayed here for our 20th anniversary. What a beautiful place and such gracious hosts. Gorgeous 19th century castle type inn with a very talented chef as the co-owner. Recommended for special occasions, trips through Maine, and for visiting the beautiful harborside city of Camden.

The current owners acquired the Norumbega a couple of years ago and are running an outstanding inn. The quality of the breakfasts is superb and creative (other inns take note: don't give us breakfast we can make just as well at home); the guest rooms and beds are wonderfully comfortable; the bath toiletries are deluxe; the decor is a nice...

Thank you for your kind words! It's wonderful to have guests who appreciate older houses and their quirks while we continue to update its features too. We agree, when you stay somewhere, you deserve something special and out of the ordinary for breakfast. We hope we see you again soon, even if it's simply for a meal.

We escaped to the Norumbega for a long weekend before the crowds of the 4th of July hit the Maine Coast and were delighted with our stay! The innkeepers are a down-to-earth couple that are attentive without being overly so. Chef Phil's food is fantastic and features many fresh ingredients that he just recently picked from their gardens. I won't...
