This is a cute hotel with simple features and very clean. The room had a flat screen television (which we never used), a Keurig coffee maker with selection of Kcups, and a refrigerator. There was a window air conditioner that really made the room nice and cool on a hot and humid day. We loved the sign in the bathroom...

Thank you for this nice review! We're so glad you enjoyed your room, our location (3 blocks to the harbor and all of the shops and restaurants), and breakfast! Many of our guests comment on how reasonable our rate is, given our central location, and how very clean the rooms are. We're very lucky to have housekeepers who take pride...

The Towne Motel website has lots of provided information about their location and the area. We stayed 2 nights in early August with our family of 4 including 2 young adult children on our way to Acadia National Park. Room rate was very reasonable. We were warmly welcomed after our long drive from PA. The online description and pictures are...

Thank you so much for your detailed review! We do host many families here at Towne Motel, and we're happy to provide cereal, toast, etc for "picky eaters" (in addition to accomodating guests who have vegan, dairy-free, or gluten-free diets). We're so glad you enjoyed our spacious double-queen room downstairs (a favorite with traveling families) and our home baked continental...

Camden is a highly desirable tourist destination and prices are high, so to locate a place to stay in the middle of town with reasonable rates is a real find.In addition it is clean with parking near your room and a comfortable bed. There is much to be said for the '50's style motel if it is well taken care...

Thank you for this nice review. The Towne Motel (1st floor) was built in 1955 and has been lovingly maintained, over the years, by a series of owners. We're proud to continue that tradition and to make our own improvements. And as you say, you can't beat this location for the price. Hope to see you again soon!

Thank you for noting the impeccable cleanliness of our property! It's one of the comments we hear over and over again: wow, is your place CLEAN! Sometimes people aren't sure what to expect from a motel, and we're happy to far exceed expectations. We are blessed with an amazing crew of housekeepers who take great pride in their work. Hope...

My partner and I stayed here last week for the second time . What a gem of a place ! The location as noted by other reviewers, can't be beat. It's a pleasure to be able to leave the car and just walk everywhere in downtown Camden. We stayed once again in the King room on the second floor (#...

Thank you! We loved hosting you guys...and hearing the latest from the halls of academe (in a former life we were both English professors). We had fun renovating Room 16--our Cottage-Style King--and because it's in the original part of the building (the 1853 house), it feels like an inn, not a motel room. So glad you enjoyed breakfast and got...

This is a very pleasant motel--not fancy but immaculately clean. The continental breakfast - homemade breads and muffins, yogurt with fresh blueberries was a treat! We drink decaf which is often neglected but it was fresh and flavorful. There is a flat screen TV, Keurig coffee maker, and a refrigerator. It is well located within walking distance of town and...

Thank you for this nice reviews. Our guests do love the home baked breakfast: it seems no one has time to bake at home anymore, so it's a big treat. Sorry to hear that you've experienced "lesser" decaf coffee at other lodging properties; we would never skimp on decaf versus caf! Hope to see you again next summer.

This was our first time to Maine and our first family vacation in 7 years. We timed our visit to coincide with the annual Rockland Lobster Festival. Not only was the Towne Motel comfortable, pleasant, and extremely clean, but the innkeepers, Siobhan and Katja, were personable and very accommodating. The renovated rooms were colorful, the Keurig coffee makers provided a...

My 4th time in Camden, and 2nd stay at the Towne Motel. Hearing that Towne Motel is quickly becoming a family tradition made our day! Many guests have commented that we have a B&B feel and we're glad you feel the same. We enjoy hosting families, and we enjoy the inter-generational mix here at TM. Talking with guests is the most fun part of the job! We're always happy to make recommendations...

Under normal circumstances I would have given this motel 5 stars. The room was clean and quiet having been newly reburbished. We are very disappointed that Trip Advisor posted this misleading and insulting review. The fact is, either the writer of this review or his wife took a soap mat from our room and we emailed them that there would be a small replacement charge of $10.
